In 2014, Whisky AGE started as a whisky gelato (whisky ice cream) seller in Tainan City, Taiwan. In 2018, they launched their first bottling brand, The Whisky Blues, and in 2021, they also started bottling whisky under the name Whisky AGE. The Whiskybase shop is an importer of both brands. In addition, Whisky AGE also imports various independent bottlings.
Allt-á-Bhainne is a Speyside distillery that primarily supplies malt whisky to blends such as Chivas Regal and Passport. Fortunately, there are independent single malt bottlings like this one: the whisky matured for 28 years in a rum cask! (49.1% ABV)
This is the 89th edition of Whisky Blues from bottler Whisky AGE. It's a 15-year-old Dailuaine single malt whisky, matured in a first-fill bourbon cask. The distillery, the first to feature those iconic 'pagodas' (dome fans), dates back to 1852. (56.1%)
The label, featuring a Mexican (?), a deer, and a cat, might lead you astray, but the bottle actually contains a Glen Elgin single malt whisky. Bottled by Taiwanese Whisky AGE after 16 years of maturation in a re-charred bourbon cask. (56.1% ABV)
Taiwanese Whisky AGE has not been around as a bottler for very long yet but has already built up a good name. One of their latest bottlings is this Glenrothes single malt whisky. The Speysider matured in a bourbon cask for 23 years and is bottled at 55.1%
The Pulteney Distillery in the Highlands releases many bottlings of their Old Pulteney single malt whisky; you don't see independent bottlings very often. But this is one: a 16-year-old malt matured in a bourbon barrel, bottled at 55.3% cask strength.
We at Whiskybase are proud to be the importer of quality bottlings of Whisky AGE. This Williamson 2010 is one of them. A blended malt? Mwah... Let's say a Laphroaig single malt with a drop of another malt in it. (14 years old, Oloroso-matured, 61%)
