Allt-á-Bhainne is a modern Speyside distillery that was built in 1975 as a malt whisky supplier for the blends of Chivas Regal, Passport and 100 Pipes. The entire production process of Allt-á-Bhainne is in the hands of one process operator. The distillery also does not have its own warehouse. It is therefore not surprising that almost all single malt bottlings from Allt-á-Bhainne come from independent bottlers.
Thompson Bros. bottled this Allt-á-Bhainne in 2024 after it had matured for 28 years, the last four of which were spent in a select Oloroso cask. A complex single malt with notes of dates, tobacco, grapefruit, demerara sugar, and rye bread. (49.1% ABV)
