Allt-á-Bhainne is a modern Speyside distillery that was built in 1975 as a malt whisky supplier for the blends of Chivas Regal, Passport and 100 Pipes. The entire production process of Allt-á-Bhainne is in the hands of one process operator. The distillery also does not have its own warehouse. It is therefore not surprising that almost all single malt bottlings from Allt-á-Bhainne come from independent bottlers.
This Allt-a-Bhainne single malt whisky was distilled in 1980 and bottled by Cadenhead in the 1990s, making it at least 10 years old. It was released at a strength of 60.3% as part of Cadenhead's Cask Strength series. A true collector's whisky!
