The Convalmore distillery located in the heart of Speyside existed for less than a century when it was closed in 1985. All distillation equipment has long since been demolished from the buildings, buildings that are now only used as a warehouse for Glenfiddich and The Balvenie. Convalmore single malt whisky was also never intended for independent bottling but only for enriching blends. There are hardly any distillery bottlings. But the Convalmore bottlings that were there scored on average good to very good. There are people who still grieve for the closure of this distillery.
