Daftmill distillery was founded in 2003 by brothers Francis and Ian Cuthbert. It is one of the smallest distilleries of the Lowlands. They produce all their barley on their own farm. The first new make spirit was produced in 2005. The brothers were in no hurry and waited until they thought the quality of their single malt whisky good enough. The first bottling did not appear until 2018. Daftmill produces about 100 casks per year, so the availability of their whisky is very limited.
Daftmill, a young distillery with a big name already. And this is an extra special bottling by them. The Lowlands single malt whisky is 15 years old and matured in 1st fill bourbon casks.
Strict 1 bottle per household / family / person.
This Daftmill 2008 single malt whisky was specially selected and bottled by Lowland Distillery in 2021 for Whiskybase.com members. Due to the enormous popularity of Daftmill, only one bottle could be purchased per person. (12y, bourbon-matured, 57.6%)
