Founded in the middle of Speyside in 1836, the Glenfarclas distillery is one of the few 'family' distilleries in Scotland. Glenfarclas is also a distillery that has been releasing distillery bottlings for a long time. And among these there are a number of bottles with a very high rating, such as the 55-year-old Glenfarclas 1958. The distillery is best known for its sherried single malt whiskies.
Also in terms of price this 10 year old Glenfarclas is a fine 'entry-level' single malt. Light, fruity 'Speyside' tones combined with malt, a hint of smoke and the sweetness of sherry make this whisky easy to drink. At 40%.
Speyside distillery Glenfarclas is known for its highly valued, sherryed single malt whiskies. The Glenfarclas 105 bottlings (105 proof = 60% ABV) are well known and have been released for more than 50 years. This 105 matured 22 years in sherry casks.
For those who love 'sherry bombs', the Glenfarclas 105 single malt whisky is a must. Robust, with depth and very well balanced; a dram for at the fireplace after a winter walk. Despite the 60% strength, it drinks away pleasantly. And that for a nice price
[SMALL BOTTLE] The classic Glenfarclas 105 in a 20 cl bottle. A nice gift for someone who loves sherried single malt whisky!
Speyside distillery Glenfarclas is known for its bottlings that matured on sherry casks. A good example is this 12 year old with its full taste and notes of light and dark fruit and sherry. In a liter bottle. At 43%.
Looking for a well-sherried whisky at an acceptable price? Then try this dark-colored 15-year-old Glenfarclas. A great combination of light, fruity Speyside tones and the warm sweetness of sherry. Bottled at 46%.
18 years old and in a liter bottle, this Glenfarclas single malt whisky. Speysider Glenfarclas is well-known for its strongly sherryed whiskies, but this bottling shows fewer sherry influences, so that the distillery profile comes out better.
A 44 year old Glenfarclas! Very good ratings! A collector's item of course, this single malt whisky that Glenfarclas specially bottled for an American whisky festival in 2011. 219 bottles came from the cask, bottled at cask strength (47.9%).
This 11-year-old single malt whisky is one of many bottlings from the famous The Family Casks series of the Glenfarclas distillery. Of course (Glenfarclas!) this one aged in a sherry cask. A real sherry bomb and pleasant to drink despite its strength.
Looking for a 21-year-old well-sherryed single malt whisky for under € 100? Then look no further than this Glenfarclas! Besides sherry tones like chocolate, nuts and red fruit, you also taste the wood of the casks, and even a hint of smoke. Recommended!
A 25-year-old single malt for this price ... and if you like well balanced sherried whiskies, then you cannot afford to miss this Glenfarclas! This standard bottling from the New Label series is filled at 43%.
This is just a bottling from the core series of Speyside distillery Glenfarclas, this 30-year-old single malt whiskey. Like all Glenfarclas standard bottlings, it is also well-sherryed. That this dram gets very good ratings is actually not surprising.
For once not a 'sherry monster' from Speyside distillery Glenfarclas, this Passion, but an easy-to-drink all-day dram, in which of course sherry tones play a role. A whisky with a good price / quality ratio.
Just like the other single malt whiskies in the The Legend of Speyside series by Glenfarclas, this Team is a great everyday dram for those who love sherryed whisky and because of the good price / quality ratio.
