Founded in the middle of Speyside in 1836, the Glenfarclas distillery is one of the few 'family' distilleries in Scotland. Glenfarclas is also a distillery that has been releasing distillery bottlings for a long time. And among these there are a number of bottles with a very high rating, such as the 55-year-old Glenfarclas 1958. The distillery is best known for its sherried single malt whiskies.
Also in terms of price this 10 year old Glenfarclas is a fine 'entry-level' single malt. Light, fruity 'Speyside' tones combined with malt, a hint of smoke and the sweetness of sherry make this whisky easy to drink. At 40%.
For those who love 'sherry bombs', the Glenfarclas 105 single malt whisky is a must. Robust, with depth and very well balanced; a dram for at the fireplace after a winter walk. Despite the 60% strength, it drinks away pleasantly. And that for a nice price
The Glenfarclas 105 is a standard single malt-whisky bottling from the eponymous distillery in Speyside. Standard sherried and standard bottled at a hefty 60% ABV. The bottle you see here was bottled over 15 years ago and still has the old label.

In 2011, Glenfarclas celebrated its 175th anniversary with this bottling: a mix of strongly sherried single malt whiskies from the 1950s and 1960s (the oldest cask from 1952!) and fruitier malts from subsequent years. A festive bottling for sure! (43%)
