The Glenmorangie Distillery in the North Highlands is the pioneer of 'finishing' single malt whisky. Around 1995 the distillery released whiskies that had been aged in port, madeira or sherry casks at the end of the maturing period. Many other distilleries and bottlers have now embraced this 'finishing' technique. This method has even become a hype in the whisky world.
Glenmorangie started whisky production in 1849. The pot stills of the distillery are among the largest in the world. Glenmorangie releases many distillery bottlings. There are, however, strikingly few independent bottlings. Moreover, the distillery generally does not want independent bottlings to mention the name Glenmorangie.
Although in the Extremely Rare series, this 18-year-old sherry-finished malt is one of Glenmorangie's core bottlings. At 43%, this is a full-bodied, oily whisky with intense aromas in the fruit and spice sector. The sherry is modestly present.
A very special Glenmorangie single malt whisky in a very special bottle and yes, ... also for a very special price. There is a lot to tell about this bottle, but we constrain us to the conclusion that this bottle is a true collector's item!

The last bottling in the experimental Private Edition series of Highland distillery Glenmorangie. When distilling this single malt whisky, an old type of yeast was used, and that gives different aromas. Go back in time with this Allta!

With this malt from the core series, Highland distillery Glenmorangie creates a solid 'whisky for everyday life'. Easy to drink, partly due to the finish in sauternes casks. This 'Golden Nectar' is 12 years old and bottled at 46%.
The Original forms the basis of the core series of Glenmorangie. With notes of honey and vanilla, nuts, peach and orange, this is a soft, fresh, 'refined' whisky. Matured for 10 years in bourbon casks, bottled at 40%. Nicely priced.
[SMALL BOTTLE] Nice gift, or to get acquainted with Glenmorangie single malt whisky, this half size The Original. With notes of honey and vanilla, of nuts, peach and orange, this is a soft, fresh, 'refined' whisky.
A good example of a successful finish in port casks, this Glenmorangie Quinta Ruban single malt whisky. Light and dark fruit, chocolate, cinnamon, pepper and even sandalwood: you will find it all in this complex yet accessible dram. (46%)
The age of this Glenmorangie is not known, but it is clear that it is a full, complex whisky: powerful notes of spicy chocolate and sweet fruit, of toast and cinnamon and ginger, with whiffs of chilli, eucalyptus and oak wood. At 46%.
A Glenmorangie single malt whisky in the experimental Private Edition series, this Spios. Matured in American rye whiskey barrels. This produces aromas and flavors that you will hardly find in other whiskies. That alone is worth further consideration!
