In March 2019, the first new make spirit came out of the stills of the Lagg Distillery on the Isle of Arran. The first bottling of Lagg single malt whisky appeared in 2022. So, in addition to the Isle of Arran Distillery in the north of the island, there is now a second distillery in the south. Unlike the first distillery, Lagg makes a peated whisky based on an old Arran recipe. A whisky with a rich, earthy and complex taste.
