Longrow is one of three brands under which Campbeltown distillery Springbank releases single malt whisky. The single malt under the Longrow brand is the most peated of the three. The other brands are Hazelburn and Springbank.
This Longrow bottling, released for Springbank's (due to COVID-19) Virtual Open Day 2020, matured for 10 years in French wine casks (Pinot Noir and Malbec). The peated Campbeltown single malt whisky was bottled at a cask strength of 53.7% in 1284 bottles.
In 2018, a limited edition 14-year-old bottling of Longrow, the peated single malt version from Springbank's Campbeltown distillery, was released. The whisky matured in refill Oloroso casks and was bottled at 57.8% cask strength. Beautifully balanced.
Subtly balanced and with a complex palette of flavours and aromas, that is how this Longrow, the Campbeltonian peated single malt, is characterized. It was bottled in 2019 for the Belgian market after 17 years of maturation in a sherry cask. (49.7%)
Due to its age, in this Longrow, the peated single malt whisky from the Springbank Distillery, you will only find subtle smoke notes. Mineral and maritime notes blend perfectly with the notes of the sherry and bourbon casks on which the whisky matured.
This is a true old-school whisky! It's a Longrow bottled in 2008 after 18 years of bourbon-cask maturation. This creamy Campbeltown single malt is mildly peated and has a perfect balance between cask influence and spirit profile. Very drinkable! (46%)
In 2019, this Longrow was bottled especially for the members of the Springbank Society (Springbank is the distillery of Longrow single malt whisky). The malt matured for 11 years in re-charred sherry casks and is bottled at a cask strength of 56.9% ABV.
