Under the Mac-Talla flag, Morrison Scotch Whisky Distillers releases peated single malt whisky from unnamed distilleries on Islay. Here, they are introducing a whisky matured in refill bourbon and cognac casks, at a cask strength of 52.4% ABV
A lot of discussion is going on about the distillery that supplied the whisky. It is a bottling from the Mac Talla series, the newest line by the Morrison family. Especially for Islay whiskies. This edition is called Mara (= Sea). Expect maritime notes!
Under the Mac-Talla banner, Morrison Scotch Whisky Distillers releases peated single malt whisky from unnamed distilleries on Islay. Here they come with a beautifully sherried whisky that matured in first-fill and refill PX casks. (52.8% ABV)
Another bottling from the Mac Talla range, the Morrison family's special Islay series. It is a 15 year old single malt whisky matured in bourbon and sherry casks. It is unknown from which Islay distillery it comes, but maybe it is Caol Ila. Or Laphroaig..
