Sazerac is not only the brand name of a number of spirits, but also the family business that owns a number of distilleries in America, including the large Buffalo Trace. The company carries dozens of liquor brands, from bourbons, blended and rye whiskies to liqueurs and cocktails. The Sazerac Company originated in 1838 in the French Quarter of New Orleans, the city where the company is still located today.
Sazerac is a brand of rye whiskey from the Buffalo Trace Distillery (and it is the name of the family business that owns that distillery). This rye-based whisky is not complex, has its own character and body, and is pleasantly drinkable. (45%)
