Aultmore 2010 Roger's Whisky Company

This is one of the 7 first bottlings of Dutch bottler Roger's Whisky Company. An Aultmore single malt whisky that matured for 12 years in a bourbon cask. In addition to the fancyful label, the robust cask strength of this 63.5% bottling is also striking.

Aultmore 2010 Ultimate - Cask 900296

Most bottlings of Aultmore single malt whisky come from independent bottlers. That also applies to this release. Van Wees bottled this 11-year-old, bourbon-cask-aged Speysider in the The Ultimate series at 46%. For a nice price.

Aultmore 2014 James Eadie

Aultmore, like other Speyside distilleries, mainly supplies its malt whisky to the blending industry. Fortunately, independent bottlers always ensure that we can taste Aultmore's single malt. This bottling is 10 years old and bourbon-matured. (46%)

Baker's 7 years old

Under the Baker's label, Jim Beam distils a bourbon that is fermented with a different yeast than usual and comes out of the still at a lower alcohol percentage, which gives it an extra mild character. This 7-year-old Baker's is bottled at 53.5%.

Balblair 12-year-old

One of the core bottlings of Highland single malt whisky Balblair, and at the age of 12 also the youngest of the lot. Pretty fruity, not very complex and pleasant to drink. A whisky not to be difficult about, a great dram for an evening with friends.

Balblair 15-year-old

This Balblair single malt whisky aged for 15 years in bourbon and sherry casks. In its role as one of the core bottlings of the Highland distillery, it is nicely balanced between light and exotic fruit, with notes of chocolate, raisins and toffee. (46%)

Balcones Eclipse - Pot Distilled Straight Rye Whisky

It's quite a story why this straight rye whisky got the name Eclipse. It has to do with the use of both beer and whisky yeast for this rye. This particular whisky matured for 4 years in a new oak barrel, after which Balcones bottled it at a hefty 64%.

Ballechin 10-year-old

Under the name Ballechin, the Highland distillery Edradour presents a peaty malt. This 10-year-old has a strong peat and smoke flavor and an extensive palette of cask influences due to maturation on both bourbon and sherry casks. A nice whisky at 46%.

A new label design adorns this Ballechin bottling. Ballechin is the heavily peated version of Edradour's single malt whisky. This Ballechin is released in the Cask Strength Edition series. It is 13 years old and matured in bourbon and sherry casks. 54.9%

Ballechin 15-year-old

Edradour is one of the smallest classic Scotch whisky distilleries. By default, they distill unpeated single malt whisky, but under the Ballechin brand they make a firmly peated dram. This one is 15 years old, matured in bourbon and sherry casks. (58.9%)

Ballechin 18-year-old - Cask Strength Edition

At 18 years old, the sharp edges are gone, but this Ballechin single malt whisky still has the smokiness characteristic of this brand. This is the first batch of an 18-year-old malt in the new Cask Strength series, bourbon matured, bottled at 50.9%.

Ballechin 2004 - 1st Fill Port Pipe

Highland distillery Edradour produces both unpeated and peated single malt whisky. The peated variant is bottled under the Ballechin label. This Ballechin is a single cask bottling that matured for 20 years in a port cask. (bottled at 54.7% cask strength)

Ballechin 2004 - Madeira Casks

In a small batch and at a cask strength of 53.5%, this 19-year-old Ballechin, the peated Edradour version, was bottled in July 2023. The single malt whisky matured in two large Madeira casks that yielded a total of 1323 bottles. A malt that makes curious.

Ballechin 2005 Ultimate - 1001st

A festive bottling on the occasion of the 1001st edition in the The Ultimate series of the Dutch bottler Van Wees. The 14-year-old Ballechin single malt whisky matured in a burgundy cask and was released in 2020 at a strength of 58.2%.

Ballindalloch 2015 Vintage Release for the Benelux

The young Speyside distillery Ballindalloch bottled this over 8-year-old Vintage single malt whisky in a small edition, especially for the Benelux. It matured in bourbon and sherry casks and was bottled at 48.5%. A great option to get to know this newby!

Balmenach 2008 Ultimate - Cask 2

In its Ultimate series, Van Wees released this 14-year-old Oloroso cask-finished Balmenach. The Balmenach distillery has been distilling single malt whisky for about two centuries, a whisky in the typical Speyside style, but with its own character. (46%)

Balmenach 2009 Gordon & MacPhail

This Balmenach single malt whisky matured for 14 years in a first-fill sherry cask from quality bottler Gordon & MacPhail. It was bottled from that cask in 2024 at a remarkably strong 61.9%. A rich dram with notes of cocoa, coffee, chocolate and aniseed.
