The single malt whisky from Speyside distillery Glen Elgin is almost exclusively available as an independent bottling, and here's another one! From James Eadie this time. The 12 years of cask maturation includes a 21-month finish in a Malaga cask. (52.7%)
A cheerful label for a single malt whisky that cheers you up. It is an Inchfad, a peated malt from the versatile Loch Lomond Distillery. The whisky matured for 20 years in an ex-bourbon cask, after which Liquid Treasures bottled it at 54.2% ABV.
In the Love & Peace series from bottler Liquid Treasures, this 13-year-old Tullibardine single malt whisky was released in 2025. The Highlander matured in a select 1st-fill Palo Cortado cask; a small and therefore extra active cask. (117 bottles at 53.5%)
Love & Peace is a series of bottlings by Liquid Treasures, which in turn is a brand of the German eSpirits Whisky. In the series, this Arran single malt whisky appeared after 10 years of maturation in a bourbon cask. The malt is bottled at a hefty 59.1%.
In 2017, 1128 bottles of Springbank single malt whisky that matured for 9 years in Sauternes casks were bottled for the members of the Springbank Society. A complex, full-bodied dram with clear Sauternes influences, but also a real Springbank. (57.1%)
In 2016, 594 bottles of Springbank single malt whisky that matured for 8 years in 1st-fill sherry casks were bottled for the members of the Springbank Society. A complex, full-bodied dram with rich sherry influences, but certainly a true Springbank. 57.2%
In 2019, this Longrow was bottled especially for the members of the Springbank Society (Springbank is the distillery of Longrow single malt whisky). The malt matured for 11 years in re-charred sherry casks and is bottled at a cask strength of 56.9% ABV.

A fantastic Islay classic, that's what you can call this Laphroaig! Distilled in the early 80s and then matured for 32 years in 'old-fashioned' sherry casks. The perfectly sherried single malt whisky has, due to its age, a milder smokiness. (46.6%)
The spirit for this Glenury Royal single malt whisky was casked in 1968. In 2005, more than 36 years later and twenty years after the distillery closed, the Highlander was bottled as a Diageo Special release at 51.2% cask strength. A unique bottle!
Under the famous bottler's brand Silver Seal, this single malt from the Glenury Royal Distillery, which closed in 1985, was released in 2001. The Highlander matured for 20 years in a sherry cask and was bottled at 56.3% ABV. A real collector's item!
More than thirty years ago, Lowlands distillery Rosebank closed its doors. Until 2010, new bottlings of the 'triple distilled' single malt whisky were released, but after that, hardly any more. That makes this G&M bottling extra special. (+/- 24y, 46%)
This is a great opportunity to taste the single malt whisky from the Caperdonich Distillery, which closed in 2002. This bottle is part of the 2008 Chairman's Stock bottling from Cadenhead. The Speysider matured for 27 years in a bourbon cask. (56.8%)
To the regret of many whisky lovers, the Caperdonich Distillery closed in 2002. Ten years later, this Director's Cut bottling from Douglas Laing was released: a 30 (!) year old, refill sherry cask-matured Caperdonich single malt. (50.9%, score: 90.1)
A real collector's item, this Mackillop's Choice bottling: it is a 28-year-old Linlithgow, a single malt whisky from the legendary St. Magdalene distillery, which closed in 1983. The Lowlands malt matured in an ex-bourbon cask. (57.3% cask strength)
Under the Chieftain label of bottler Ian Macleod, this Mortlach was released in 2017, bottled for the Taiwanese market. With its 20 years of maturation in a first-fill oloroso cask, it is a perfectly sherried single malt whisky. (57.7% ABV, score 89.8)
This Connoisseurs Choice from Gordon & MacPhail is a 15-year-old, bourbon-aged Aultmore single malt whisky at 57.3%. In addition to notes of sweet tropical fruit, this Speysider has floral notes and notes such as pineapple, apricot jam and baked apple.
The Connoisseurs Choice series from Gordon & MacPhail is not called that for nothing. The bottlings that appear in it score very well on average. That will certainly also apply to this 16-year-old, bourbon-matured Glentauchers single malt whisky. (56.8%)
This is the second Auchroisk released as Symington's Choice by quality bottler Signatory Vintage. The 16-year-old single malt whisky with a clear Speyside profile and a character of its own, is finished in a 1st-fill PX sherry cask. (57.9% ABV)
The list of top bottlings that The Whisky Agency has released over the years certainly includes this Glenrothes single malt, a joint bottling with The Whisky Exchange from 2017. The Speysider matured for 20 years in a sherry cask. (51.3%; score: 89.7)
In 1973, the spirit for this Glen Grant single malt went into the (sherry) cask, where it matured for 36 years, before being bottled in 2010 by The Whisky Agency at a relatively high cask strength (53.6%). Keywords: intense, complex, perfect, balanced.
The Whisky Agency released this Glengoyne single malt in 2011 in their series The Perfect Dram. And rightly so! With its 38 years of maturation in a fine ex-bourbon cask, this is a subtle, deliciously drinkable dram with a complex flavour palette. (46.3%)
In 2015, the Scottish Rest & be Thankful Whisky Company released this 10-year-old Bruichladdich single malt whisky. The Islay malt matured in a Cadiz wine cask and was bottled at cask strength. And with 65.2%, 'strength' is the right word here!
