This is no 'normal' rye whiskey that the High West Distillery releases, this is a blend of straight rye whiskeys. And you don't see that often! You really can taste from this bottling that High West was awarded as best distillery in America in 2016. (46%)
With a new label design, this is a bottling in the Our Bourbon Barrel Reserve series from Glenfiddich, the world's most famous single malt whisky distillery. In addition to maturing in bourbon barrels, this favorably priced malt is finished on new oak.
A new single malt whisky from Belgian distillery De Molenberg. This bottling is finished in oloroso sherry casks, which in addition to its own malty notes also gives notes of red fruit, raisins, gingerbread and chocolate. A mild, pleasantly drinkable dram
The Tobermory Distillery, one of the oldest distilleries in Scotland, also produces peated single malt whisky. This Ledaig (the peated Tobermory) is finished in Rioja casks. (46.3%)
This 12-year-old Irish triple distilled single malt whiskey matured in a bourbon cask before it was finished in French oak casks. Casks that previously contained Château Pichon Baron wine, to be precise. An edition of 2100 bottles, filled at 46%.
No longer in the well-known angular bottles, the new Claxton's series, but in a standard bottle. Like this Islay blended malt whisky in the Exploration Series. This blend of Islay single malt whiskies matured for 8 years in a refill sherry butt. (50%)
Speyside distillery BenRiach is releasing several 12 year old single malt whiskies in its new series The Twelve. We had a smoky variant in the shop before, now this BenRiach matured in 3 different types of cask: sherry, bourbon and port. Bottled at 46%.
Paul John is the brand under which the John Distilleries branch in Goa, India, releases single malt whisky. This is a bottling especially for Christmas 2020. The whisky matured in three types of casks: bourbon, oloroso-sherry and virgin oak. At 46%.
About 170 years ago, Rebel Yell already made bourbon whiskey from corn and wheat. And as this bourbon was made at the time, it is still made at Lux Row Distillers today. This Small Batch Reserve is said to have matured extra long. Bottled at 45.3%.
The subtle smoke that characterizes Benromach single malt whisky and the influence of both the bourbon and sherry casks on which it matured provide a rich palette of notes. The maturation period of 21 years certainly plays a role in this. Bottled at 43%.

A new smoky single malt whisky from the BenRiach Distillery. This The Smoky Ten matured for 10 years (naturally) in three types of casks: bourbon, rum and new oak. In addition to smoke, this malt also contains notes of summer-ripe fruit, pear and honey.

BenRiach has released a new core bottling: The Original Ten. This 10-year-old single malt whisky aged in 3 different casks, which mainly yields fruity notes (apple, pear, nectarine), but also vanilla, honey, sweet malt and a hint of smoke. Bottled at 43%.
Penderyn, ever heard of it? This box is an introduction to this single malt whisky distillery that opened in Wales in 2004. Three single malts of which one finished in Madeira casks, one in red wine and the third is 'cask-peated'. 3 x 20 CL at 43%.
This rum-finished Smokehead isn't all about peat and smoke. The Islay single malt whisky bottled by Ian Macleod has depth and is complex. The rum finish provides fruity and vibrant notes. All in all a very drinkable and original combination. At 46%.
'Belgian roots… but Gaelic at heart', is how bottler Brachadair sees itself. And this is a bottling of a single malt whisky from the definitely Gaelic and innovative BenRiach Distillery. The malt is 6 years old and is finished on a small sherry cask. 58.2
With this 15-year-old Redbreast, the Irish Midleton distillery sets a good example of a pot-still whiskey. The whiskey is made from malted and un-malted barley, and after triple distillation matured in bourbon and sherry casks. At 46%.
Mortlach distils their spirit not two or three times, but 2.81 times, which gives the single malt whisky a profile of its own. Gordon & MacPhail is known as a very good bottler. When added together, this guarantees a fine dram. 24 years old and at 46%.
Sazerac is a brand of rye whiskey from the Buffalo Trace Distillery (and it is the name of the family business that owns that distillery). This rye-based whisky is not complex, has its own character and body, and is pleasantly drinkable. (45%)
This bottling of the High West Distillery, America's Distillery of the Year in 2016, contains a blend of straight rye whiskeys. Earlier batches of this Double Rye! were well appreciated. For straight rye at least 51% of the used grains must be rye. (46%.)
Established in the last century as a supplier to the blended whisky industry, Speyside distillery Tamnavulin has already released quite a few single malt whisky bottlings. In early 2020, Tamnavulin released another batch in their Sherry Cask Edition. 40%
Aged in bourbon and sherry casks, this 15-year-old Benromach has a beautifully balanced palette of sherry flavors with vanilla, orange and ginger, with subtle chamomile and menthol notes in between. Bottled at 43%. With newly designed label.
