The Bruichladdich Distillery on Islay makes an unpeated single malt whisky under its own name. They also produce the heavily peated Port Charlotte and the very heavily peated Octomore. And Lochindaal, which is in between. This one is 10 years old. (63.3%)
Lochindaal, you see it more these days, this single malt whisky. It comes from Bruichladdich on Islay and in terms of smokiness it is in between Port Charlotte and Octomore, the two other peated whiskies from that distillery. 10 years old and bourbon aged
Originally available at travel retail, but that was years ago. This Octomore has matured in
Ex Eau-de-Vie Limousin Oak Casks. Giving it a very unique flavour profile. A perfect addition to your collection.
In this opaque black bottle you will find the Octomore single malt whisky Edition 06.1. The various 06.1 bottlings appeared around 2015 and are all distilled from Scottish barley and aged in American oak for 5 years. And of course heavily peated. (57%)
Octomore Edition 10.3 is a 'dialogue' between two single malt whiskies made from the same from Islay barley distilled spirit, that matured in different cask types. It is clear that the barley malt was heavily peated, but it is not predominant. (61.3%)
