Scallywag is the name for Douglas Laing's blended Speyside malts, blends of Macallan, Mortlach, and Glenrothes single malt whisky. At 18 years old, this is one of the oldest Scallywags to date. It is finished in select PX casks and bottled at 46% ABV.
When Signatory Vintage releases a Speyside (M), we know by now that it is a Macallan single malt whisky. And we also know that the Small Batch series offers excellent value for money. The Speysider is finished in 1st-fill PX sherry casks. (14 y, 48.2%)
Cnoc na Moine, the Heath Hill, is the title of Chapter 3 in the Legacy Series of the Torabhaig Distillery on the Isle of Skye, subtitled Smoke & Brine. A peated single malt whisky, yes! It matured in cask types such as bourbon, PX and oloroso. (46%)
