Under the care of the Japanese whisky concern Suntory, the Chita grain distillery was founded on the coast of the Japanese peninsula Chita in 1972. Special is that the Chita distillery produces 3 types of grain whisky: A heavy grain that passes through 2 distillation columns, a medium grain that passes through 3 columns, and a very light, pure grain whisky that passes through 4 columns. Of course a lot of the production goes to the blended whiskies of Suntory, but Chita has also their own bottlings: The Chita Single Grain Whisky.
A single grain bottling from Suntory: the Chita.
