The brand name of the single malt whisky produced by the Isle of Jura distillery on the Scottish island of Jura. The distillery was built in 1963 on the spot where, until 1901, there was also a distillery. Jura is located near whisky island Islay, famous for its smoky whiskies. The standard single malt from Jura, however, is not peated at all. Isle of Jura is known for the special design of its bottles.
