Long ago, Royal Brackla's single malt whisky was the first malt used in the 'invention' of the blended whisky. But you can still taste Brackla whisky in its pure form. Like this 10-year-old bottling by Duncan Taylor that matured in a sherry cask. 53.8%

The Perfect Fifth is a new bottler from Los Angeles that aims to release the highest quality single malt and grain whisky. The first bottling we have from them on our shelves is this 30 year old Aberlour, matured in a first fill bourbon cask. (51.5%)
No longer in the well-known angular bottles, the new Claxton's series, but in a standard bottle. Like this Islay blended malt whisky in the Exploration Series. This blend of Islay single malt whiskies matured for 8 years in a refill sherry butt. (50%)
Inchfad is the name of a peated single malt whisky from the Loch Lomond Distillery. Bottler North Star released this Inchfad in their Cask Series, matured for 18 years in a carefully selected Oloroso cask. A full-bodied, peaty and elegant dram. (51.1%)
The Glasgow Distillery, founded in 2014, releases its whisky under the 1770 brand, but this is a Rolf Kaspar bottling in the Black Corbie series. The Lowland single malt whisky is 7 years old and matured in a first-fill Oloroso sherry cask. (57.1% ABV)
This Dingle 10 Years Old is a standard bottling from Ireland's Dingle distillery. The single malt matured in a combination of three cask types: bourbon (65%), port (30%), and PX (5%). This resulted in a dram with a complex aroma and flavour palette. 46.5%
In 2023, Limited Whisky Ltd released this truly exceptional Aberlour bottling in their Exceptional Cask series. The single malt from the distillery, known primarily for its sherried whisky, matured for an impressive 33 years in a bourbon cask! (42.4% ABV)
With the Crafted in Cask bottlings, Berry Bros & Rudd aims to enrich the whisky with additional notes in harmony with the distillery's character. They achieved this again with this 12-year-old Blair Athol by finishing it in a Margaux wine cask. (58.2%)
Ruadh Mhor is the peated version of the single malt whisky from Glenturret distillery. This 15-year-old edition was finished in an Oloroso sherry cask by bottler Berry Bros & Rudd and released in their Crafted in Cask series at 55.5% cask strength.
With the Crafted in Cask bottlings, Berry Bros & Rudd enriches the whisky with additional notes that harmonise with the distillery's character. This 18-year-old Teaninich single malt was finished for that purpose in a Pineau des Charentes cask. (59.2%)

Daftmill is a 'single farm estate' single malt whisky. Everything from growing the barley to bottling the whisky is done at the Daftmill farm. This 12-year-old Summer Batch Release matured in first-fill bourbon casks and was bottled in 2025, at 46%.
The Dutch artisanal Wagging Finger Distillery has been in business since 2016. Besides genever and gin, they also distil single malt whisky. The third edition was released in 2025. The malt matured for 6 years in Oloroso and bourbon casks. (50.4% ABV)
For an excellent price, you can get all five Campbeltown single malt whiskies together in one bottle: Springbank, Hazelburn, Longrow, Glen Scotia and Kilkerran! The blend matured in bourbon and sherry casks, resulting in a mild, creamy and rich dram. 46%
An independent bottling of Springbank whisky isn't something you see very often. But here it is, as Chapter 19 of Decadent Drinks' Whiskyland epic! The Campbeltown single malt matured for 25 years in a bourbon cask. A delicate and complex dram. (42.2%)
In Cadenhead's bottling series Enigma, the distillery remains unnamed. This release, by the way, is the single malt from a Highland distillery known for its tall stills. In any case, at 40 years old, this dram is certainly special! (44.5% cask strength)
With Cadenhead's new Enigma series, they let you guess which whisky it is. We think that won't be too difficult with this Orkney. This single malt from one of the two distilleries on the Orkneys matured for eight years in bourbon casks. Bottled at 57.5%.
This 26-year-old Braes of Glenlivet (also called Braeval) was released in 2021 behind a whimsical label, as a bottling of the Taiwanese The Whisky Blues. The Speyside single malt whisky matured in a barrel and is bottled at 51.1% cask strength.
This Bunnahabhain single malt whisky, released in 2021 by The Whisky Blues, scores nearly 90 points. The Islay malt aged for an impressive 31 years in 2 bourbon casks before being bottled at 41.5% cask strength. The smoky notes are particularly striking!
Of the 10 years that this Aultmore single malt whisky matured, the last three and a half were in a Pedro Ximénez cask. You can tell from the colour alone! Alistair Walker bottled the Speysider at 55.4% cask strength under the Infrequent Flyers brand.
The malt whisky produced by Glenlossie Distillery is ideal for blending, but bottlings like this one prove that the single malt whisky is also quite good on its own. The 16-year-old malt is finished for about one and a half years in a PX cask. (54.7%)
Perhaps the humorous text on the front and back labels holds hints as to which single malt whisky is behind the name Glenlitigious. It's certainly a Speysider that matured for 12 years in a second-fill sherry cask. (Bottled by Decadent Drinks at 50.0%)
