You don't come across a peated Canadian whisky very often, so pay attention to this Macaloney's The Peat Project! This whisky is distilled from local barley, the malt of which was peat-dried at the distillery. The whisky matured in a bourbon cask. (46%)
Many whisky lovers fondly remember the single malt whisky from the Imperial Distillery, which closed in 1998. As a consolation, Living Souls has released a bottling of a 27-year-old, bourbon-matured Imperial, one of the very last distillates! (42,2% ABV)
This is a Chairman's Stock bottling from Cadenhead, Scotland's oldest independent bottler. For a very reasonable price, you get a 13-year-old Tomatin single malt whisky, matured in a bourbon barrel and bottled at 50.2% ABV in 204 bottles.
Bottler Living Souls presents a Balmenach single malt whisky that matured for 22 years in a first-fill bourbon cask. A fresh and fruity palate characterises the Speysider: notes such as white grapes, melon, lemon, but also violets and other flowers. 44.9%
The Original Collection from bottler Cadenhead is known for its excellent value. This is also evident in this Glenallachie bottling. The Speyside single malt whisky matured for 17 years in a refill bourbon cask. (Bottled at 46%)
This Balblair single malt matured for 17 years in a 1st-fill bourbon cask. This resulted in a sweet, opulent whisky with a distinctly distillery character. Decadent Drinks bottled it at 56.2% cask strength. Lots of honey, but also floral and herbal notes.
Bottled in 2021 by The Whisky Blues, this Teaninich is a fresh, fruity single malt whisky. Notes of pineapple, tropical fruit, citrus, and green apple (next to chocolate, spices, and nuts). The malt matured for 13 years in a bourbon cask. (53.6%)
This Limited Release (319 bottles) from Saltire is a 15-year-old Benrinnes single malt whisky that matured in a first-fill bourbon cask. Give it some time to open up; floral notes, ripe banana, furniture polish, cinnamon and honey will follow. (48.8%)

This is a 2024 bottling by Gordon & MacPhail of the classic Highland single malt Ardmore. The whisky matured for 16 years in a refill bourbon cask and is bottled at 57.2% cask strength. Notes of apple, milk chocolate, and cured meat, with sweet smoke.
Cambus's turbulent history as a grain distillery dates back to 1836 and ended with its closure in 1993. Fortunately, bottlings of this single-grain whisky are still being released, such as this Fragrant Drops. (40 years old, sherry-matured, 45.6% ABV)
The Whiskey Fair is the label under which the annual whisky festival in Limburg, Germany, releases bottlings. This Cooley 2001 is one of the bottles for the 2023 edition. This 21-year-old Irish single malt whisky matured in an Amarone cask. (55.8%)
The Japanese Eigashima Shuzo distillery has held a whisky distillation license since 1919, but they have only been using it for 2 months a year since 1984. In 2025, this 3 years young bourbon-aged Eigashima single malt whisky was released. (59.1% ABV)
You don't often come across whisky from the Glen Spey Distillery, founded in 1878, as a single malt bottling; you find it mainly in blends. Fortunately, there are bottlings like this Spirit of Scotland: an 11-year-old, bourbon-aged Glen Spey. (57.4% ABV)
Bottler Gordon & MacPhail has had a Spirit of Scotland series for years. This series features exclusive single-cask bottlings at cask strength of Scotch whiskies, such as this 14-year-old, bourbon-aged, subtly fruity Strathmill single malt. (55% ABV)
The Bonnington Distillery in Edinburgh, which opened in 2020, expects to distil around 4,200 casks of whisky annually. These casks will then be used to produce bottlings like this Oloroso-aged single malt. Caramel, dried fruit, nutmeg, and sultanas. (47%)
According to some, this Smokehead Islay single malt whisky is young Caol Ila finished in Ardbeg casks. Perhaps. In any case, this is a beautiful, uncomplicated and pleasantly drinkable dram for the smoky whisky lover. At 40%.
Inchmurrin is a single malt whisky distilled with the pot stills of the Loch Lomond Distillery (which also produces whisky with other still types). This 11-year-old, bourbon-matured Inchmurrin has been bottled by the Dutch company Hogshead Imports. 57.2%
This 26-year-old Braes of Glenlivet (also called Braeval) was released in 2021 behind a whimsical label, as a bottling of the Taiwanese The Whisky Blues. The Speyside single malt whisky matured in a barrel and is bottled at 51.1% cask strength.
The Jaywalk Heirloom Rye is a single-cask bottling, a rye whisky distilled from heirloom rye, a variety of rye dating back to the 17th century. The whisky matured for 7 years in charred new American oak and is bottled at 57.9% cask strength.
Speyside Distillery Tormore is temporarily shut down in 2022. Production will resume in 2026. But you don't have to go without! Cadenhead is releasing a 14-year-old Tormore single malt. The whisky matured in bourbon and Oloroso casks. (46% ABV)
