Everything is a vibe these days. It’s seemingly everyone’s go-to shorthand. So what are vibe whiskies?
We looked around the shop and asked, which of these whiskies…are a vibe? (Of course, they have to be great whisky, too).
First our working definition of a vibe: something that’s got feeling, atmosphere, or that hard-to-define cool factor. You know it when you encounter it: that restaurant where the hum matters as much as the food. The off-the-grid job that’s a cultural lifestyle, not simply a paycheck. Or the café where people go to hang out, write a novel, or soak up the playlist rather than simply imbibe caffeine.
So where do our eyes fall when looking for vibe whisky? And just what is the whisky’s vibe?
