The fact that single malt whisky often matures in sherry casks is nothing special, but maturation in fino sherry casks is. Fino is a dry sherry that matured under a layer of yeast, the 'flor'. That gives an extra taste experience to this Kilchoman. (50%)

We've picked up some great Lagavulins: Special Release bottlings from the first decade of this century. These are 12 year old Lagavulin single malt whiskies bottled at cask strength. So this bottle is from 2008 and at 56.4% strength.
The Lagavullin Distillery in Port Ellen on whisky island Islay is renowned for the quality of its peated single malt whisky. And this is a special Lagavulin: a Special Release from 2014. The 12-year-old, smoky malt is bottled at cask strength (54.4%).
