On the occasion of the 25th anniversary of Queen Elizabeth II in 1977, bottler Gordon & MacPhail released this 25 year old Macallan single malt whisky. A special bottle then, but now, 45 years later, extra special. And it scores high! (bottled at 40%)
The Canadian Victoria Caledonian Distillery has only been around for a short time. Too short to call all their products whisky. But they would like to introduce us to their products already, and they do so with, for example, this peated single malt spirit

You could call this a Scotch whisky from Canada. Handmade by Scotsman Macaloney according to the Scottish tradition in Scottish stills on Vancouver Island, Canada. This single malt whisky matured on a 1st class bourbon cask, yielding 144 bottles at 46%.
Bottled a while ago but interesting enough to place in the shop, this Maker's Mark 46 Red Wax. The Kentucky straight bourbon whisky started out as a standard Mark 46 but was finished in casks with 10 French oak staves each. For an extra twist. (47%)
Bottler James Eadie released this 12-year-old Mannochmore in their Small Batch series. The Speyside single malt whisky matured in two casks: a 1st-fill bourbon hogshead and a re-charred butt. After blending, the whisky was bottled at 46% ABV.
This Kasei blended whisky is bottled by the Japanese Hombo Mars for the French La Maison du Whisky. Malt and grain whisky are brought together here in the smooth Mars style: floral, fruity notes and honey, with a hint of smoke. Bottled at 40%.
This Maltage from the Japanese Shinshu Mars distillery is a blend of single malt whiskies. Of course there is a single malt from Shinshu itself. But also Scottish malt. It is a rich, well-balanced, non-complex and pleasantly drinkable whisky.
A Japanese single malt whisky aged in bourbon casks in the warehouse of the Tsunuki Distillery, distilled by the Mars Distillery and released in the Komagatake series. A dram with notes of barley, vanilla and oak and a hint of smoke. (54%)
Not only does Glenallachie distill the spirit for the Meikle Tòir bottlings from peated barley malt, the fermentation time is also almost three times as long as usual. This unique 5-year-old bottling also matured partly in virgin Chinquapin oak! (48%)
Meikle Tòir is the peated variant of the single malt whisky from the Glenallachie distillery. This Original is 5 years old. It matured in a combination of bourbon and virgin casks and casks that previously contained rye whisky which makes one curious. 50%
A special bottling for the French La Maison du Whisky, this Michter’s bourbon whiskey. We don't dare say how old this bourbon is, but that could be surprising. Michter's bourbon is made according to a recipe from 1753. (45.7%)
According to our records, Michter’s Distillery is closed. But we still have this Single Barrel straight rye whiskey for the enthusiast. Woodchips, liquorice, maple and cough syrup are the dominant notes, with flowers and pepper underneath. 42.4%
This is a single pot still whiskey from the Midleton Distillery. Bottled in 2015 as batch no.1 in the Virgin Irish Oak Collection. Not your average Irish whiskey, because after it had matured in ex-bourbon casks, it was finished in virgin Irish oak. 58.2%
This single malt whisky from M&H Distillery aged in a rather special cask: an ex-sherry cask that previously held Ledaig whisky, the peated Tobermory version. The Ledaig influence is clearly recognizable in this pleasantly drinkable 3-year-old malt. 53.4%
In the APEX series, Tel Aviv's M&H Distillery releases this 3-year-old single malt whisky, aged in casks that previously held fortified red wine. The whisky is distilled from peated barley malt. An earthy dram with hints of peat smoke and tobacco. (55.3%)
In the new Art & Craft series from the Israeli M&H Distillery, the single malt whisky matures in traditional casks. This edition aged for 3 years in the warm environment of the Dead Sea in Doppelbock beer casks from the Ha'aretz brewery. At cask strength.
This M&H single malt whisky matured for 4 years in white port casks. The influence of these ex-dessert wine casks is mainly found in the rich honey-like notes. This is the 4th edition in the Art & Craft - Dessert Wine Casks series, bottled at 53.6%.

This is the winter edition 2023 from the Equinox & Solstice series by Decadent Drinks. An 11-year-old Miltonduff single malt whisky that matured in a sherry cask. A comfortably warm dram, 'a wealth of warmth, ruddy fruits...', as the label says. (48.5%)
The Miltonduff Distillery has been in the Speyside for nearly two centuries now. The distillery doesn't bottle much of its single malt whisky itself, but luckily, there are others who do. This release is 12 years old and aged in a bourbon cask. (46%)
