Big Peat is a brand of independent bottler Douglas Laing. Under this brand Douglas Laing releases blended malt whiskies, with a mix of smoky Islay whiskies. The Christmas editions of Big Peat are well-known.
For Fèis Ìle 2018, the annual festival on the whisky island of Islay, Douglas Laing released this Big Peat edition in a limited run of 3,000 bottles. Big Peat is a blend of (at least) four peated Islay single malts. Bottled at 48.0% ABV.
