Edition no. 9 of Rolf Kaspar's Lichtburg - Historic Series is another 21-year- old Irish single malt whisky. Just like edition no. 8 it matured in an ex-rum cask and of course this malt is also bottled at cask strength (53.5%). Highly recommended!

According to some, this Smokehead Islay single malt whisky is young Caol Ila finished in Ardbeg casks. Perhaps. In any case, this is a beautiful, uncomplicated and pleasantly drinkable dram for the smoky whisky lover. At 40%.

In Signatory Vintage's very affordable 100 Proof Exceptional Cask series, this is the 15th edition, a 16-year-old Speyside (M), so a Macallan single malt. It matured in Oloroso sherry casks and is, of course, bottled at 100 proof (= 57.1% ABV).

This Springbank was released in 2016 in a limited edition. It matured for 16 years in 80% bourbon and 20% sherry casks before being bottled at cask strength (54.3%). What makes this single malt whisky really special is that it is made from local barley.
