White Oak Akashi NAS

An early single malt bottling from Japanese distiller Eigashima Shuzo. The bottle does not mention age, but this must be a young whisky. Yet the taste palette is already nicely developed, and it has that modest, elegant Japanese character in the nose.

Whitlaw 2014 Signatory Vintage

Fun fact: Behind a famous distillery on the Orkney Islands lie the Whitlaw Hills. But back to business. Bottled by Signatory Vintage in their Vintage Collection, this single malt whisky matured for 10 years in re-charred bourbon casks. (46%)

Widow Jane Rye Mash - Batch 17

The Widow Jane Distillery is located in Brooklyn, New York. They distill corn, barley malt, and also rye malt as this bottle shows. As with their other whiskies, for the production of this Rye Mash natural limestone-filtered water has been used. At 45.5%.

Wild Turkey Rare Breed - 58.4% - max 1 bottle p.p.

The Wild Turkey Distilling Co. in Lawrenceburg, Kentucky releases a solid straight bourbon whiskey with this bottling at 58.4%. A bourbon full of fruit, but also with chocolate and spices such as cinnamon. Not an average bourbon in any case.

Williamson 2013 Berry Bros & Rudd - Bottled for Craft Spririts Company NL

Bessie Williamson was once the owner-manager of the Laphroaig Distillery. But that's not the point. Berry Bros & Rudd comes here with an 11-year-old Williamson single malt whisky, finished in a Moscatel cask and bottled for the Dutch market. (60.9%)

Williamson 2013 Berry Bros & Rudd - Coast & Shores

Berry Bros & Rudd released this 11-year-old single malt whisky in their series A Single Cask Collection: Coast & Shores, produced by one of the most famous Islay distilleries. The heavily peated malt is finished in an Oloroso sherry cask. (58.1%)

Wolfburn - Aurora

The Aurora is one of the core bottlings of the young Highland distillery Wolfburn. Matured for 4/5 in bourbon, for 1/5 in sherry, this 3-year-old malt is a 'best of both worlds' dram. Not very complex, but a nice introduction to this new brand.

Wolfburn 10-year-old

Distilling since 2013 in the far north of Scotland, Wolfburn reached a new milestone with the release of their first batch of 10-year-old whisky. This whisky fully matured in Oloroso sherry casks and is bottled at 46%. Non-chill-filtered and natural color

Wolfburn 2014 Single Cask - Pot Still Festival 20th Anniversary

This 10-year-old Wolfburn single malt whisky is a single-cask release celebrating the 20th edition of the Pot Still Festival in the Netherlands in 2024. The Highland malt matured in a large second-fill Oloroso sherry cask and was bottled at 50.0% strength

Wolfburn 2015 Father's Day Edition 2022

Father's Day is coming up again, and then Wolfburn is one of those distilleries that thinks with us about a suitable gift. This is their Father's Day Edition: a 7 year old single malt whisky matured in both sherry and bourbon casks, bottled at 58.2%.

Wolfburn Morven

The Morven is the peated standard bottling of the young Wolfburn distillery. Smoke is clearly but not intrusive present, in the palette. There are also notes of caramel, malt, hay and nuts and, ultimately, some fruit. Worth trying!

Woodford Reserve - Straight Wheat Whiskey

The Woodford Reserve Distillery is at the heart of 'bourbon country' and produces its whisky according to tradition with copper pot stills. But don't expect a bourbon in this bottle: it is a Kentucky Straight Wheat Whiskey. Be surprised! 45.2%

Woodford Reserve Double Oaked

Woodford Reserve is one of the oldest distilleries in Kentucky and still produces according to tradition. With this bottling, the straight bourbon whiskey has undergone a second maturation on a different 'white oak' barrel. For an extra rich taste.

Woodford Reserve DS

For those who want to try bourbon whiskey, or those who want to go deeper than the standard bourbon, we can recommend the Woodford Reserve Distiller’s Select. Produced in the original way, in copper pot stills. And at a reasonable price.

Writers' Tears Copper Pot

Uncomplicated, light and yet full of flavor. That is how you could describe this Irish blended malt. A whisky for every day or, in terms of price too, a nice entry-level dram. It is not known which distilleries produced the malt, but what does it matter?

Writers' Tears Inniskillin Ice Wine Cask

An interesting Writers' Tears edition is this Inniskillin Ice Wine Cask. It is a blend of Irish pot still and single malt whiskey (not something you see often) finished in a cask that previously held a Canadian sweet wine (we didn't see that before). 46%

Yoichi 10-year-old

In 2015, the Japanese whisky producer Nikka decided to mention the age of their bottlings no longer. This 10-year-old single malt whisky from the renowned Yoichi distillery is one of the last with the age mentioned on the label. Bottled at 45%.

Yoichi 15-year-old

This bottling from the first decade of this century is a 15-year-old single malt whisky from the renowned Japanese Yoichi distillery, matured in bourbon, sherry and virgin oak casks and bottled at 45%. An intense, well-balanced and accessible dram.

Yoichi Single Malt

This ageless single malt whisky from the Japanese Yoichi distillery is a pleasantly drinkable and surprisingly full dram. Lots of fruit, green tea, milk chocolate to name a few, with a hint of salty smoke. Why not try a Japanese whisky like this?
