After many changes in ownership and process, Tullibardine distillery has been operating at full capacity again since 2008. A fine example of the single malt they distil is this 11-year-old bottling, finished for two years in a sherry cask. (53%)
Finished in Sauternes wine casks from Château Suduiraut, this Tullibardine single malt whisky develops beautiful, fruity, and sweet notes. There are also hints of peach, citrus, hay, beeswax, and white chocolate. A surprisingly complex dram. (43%)
Haha, whiskybase suddenly has rum in their shop!...No, this is not an April Fool's joke! This is really a rum bottling from The Whisky Blues and not just any rum! It is a 30-year-old, bourbon-matured rum from the Guyanese Uitvlugt Distillery, 50.4% ABV.
Regular visitors to our webshop will know that behind names like secret or unnamed Orkney the well-known Highland Park single malt whisky is hidden. This reasonably priced Unnamed Orkney by Van Wees is 17 years old and matured in a refill sherry cask.
Dutch bottler Van Wees is known for the reasonable price of their bottlings in the The Ultimate series. Be surprised by this single malt whisky from an unnamed Speyside distillery. It matured for 13 years in a refill sherry cask and it is bottled at 46%.
This Velvet Cap edition from Ireland's Blackwater Distillery is a mildly peated single malt whisky finished in sherry casks. With its 5 years of maturation it is a young whisky, but surprisingly full and balanced, the peat smoke is subtly present. 40%
This is the 2nd edition of the single malt whisky from Wagging Finger distillery in Deventer. While the 1st edition matured in two ex-Scotch whisky casks, this new, 4-year-old edition matured in an ex-Glenglassaugh and a bourbon cask. (232 bottles, 50.3%)
The Dutch artisanal Wagging Finger Distillery has been in business since 2016. Besides genever and gin, they also distil single malt whisky. The third edition was released in 2025. The malt matured for 6 years in Oloroso and bourbon casks. (50.4% ABV)
The young Dutch distillery Wagging Finger isn't afraid to experiment. Take, for example, this 5-year-old Malt & Rye Project bottling: a blend of a bourbon-aged single malt and a rye whisky that matured in virgin American oak. (55%)
The Waterford Distillery, which started in 2016, is based on the terroir principle, the idea that you can taste from which of 89 Irish farms the barley for their single malt whisky comes from. This 3-year-old Argot edition matured in various cask types.

'Thoughtfully Made' is the motto of the Northwestern American Westland Distillery. You can read what they mean by that on the back label, but of course you can also just taste their single malt whisky (or 'whiskey' in American style) to find it out. (46%)
At the American Westland Distillery, it is primarily about what the barley does for their single malt whisky and not the cask. Westland uses different types of barley, and for this Colere Edition 2 it was a variety called Talisman. Bottled at 50.0%.
Westport blended malt whisky is actually Glenmorangie single malt whisky with supposedly a teaspoon of an other malt mixed in. This Westport matured for 19 years on a refill sherry cask and 2 years on a 1st-fill sherry cask and was bottled at 53.0%.
Specially bottled for the Netherlands, this single cask bottling of the American Westward Whiskey. Outside of the US and Australia, you won't easily come across Westward whisky, so extra special, this single malt whisky finished in a stout cask! (50%)
