If you like sweet and fruit, a little spicy, then this 12-year-old standard Glenrothes comes into the picture. Matured in sherry casks, filled at 40%, and at a reasonable price, this Speyside malt is a good choice.
This Canadian rye whisky is made from locally harvested rye and distilled in two rounds in pot-stills. De Lot No. 40 is intense in aroma and taste. Of course there are notes of rye bread, but also of oak, herbs and vanilla. A classic rye whisky!
The Glasgow Distillery Company is founded on September 2nd 2015 and takes its name from one of Glasgow’s original distilleries. Founded at Dundashill in 1770, the distillery remained active until the beginning of the 20th Century.

This Caol Ila bottling in the Discovery series by Gordon & MacPhail has aged for 13 years in clearly active bourbon casks. In this Islay single malt whisky you will find notes of vanilla, caramel, fruit and leather, and salty peat smoke and iodine.
A successful example of a 'modern' sherryed single malt whisky, this 10-year-old Macduff from Gordon & MacPhail. Aroma and taste are uncomplicated, with clearly recognizable sherry tones. A pleasantly drinkable dram for an evening with friends!
A nice sherried single malt. Solid with layers of complexity. The influence of the sherry cask isn't overpowering the whisky at all, leaving enough space for the delicate dried fruits and warming spices to come through. Pleasantly quaffable!
This 12-year-old single malt whisky is complex and balanced and clearly shows the profile of the peated Tobermory that the Ledaig brand stands for. It aged on bourbon and sherry casks and Gordon & MacPhail bottled it in their entry-level series Discovery.
The oldest of the single malt core series from Glenallachie, which previously produced almost exclusively blended whisky. Matured in American oak and PX sherry casks, filled at 48%. A delicious single malt, this 25-year-old Speyside.
Released on the occasion of the 200th anniversary of Bladnoch Distillery. This single malt is a mix of whisky that matured on bourbon and Samsara wine casks. This resulted in a complex, yet easily drinkable dram. Not a moment boring, this Bladnoch.
This Elijah Craig bourbon whiskey is a Small Batch release. The small batch process provides a more balanced and smooth whiskey. This pleasant, warm bourbon from the Heaven Hill family matured in charred oak barrels and has an ABV of 47%.
Released of the 20th anniversary of Benromach. Distilled in the first year (1998) of the reopened Benromach distillery and now bottled 20 years later in 2018 to celebrate this milestone.
The whisky from Yamazaki, Japan's oldest distillery, often gets excellent reviews. This is a bottling from the beginning of this century: the 12-year-old Single Malt Japanese Whisky matured in American, Spanish and Japanese oak. (bottled at 43%)
This whisky, named after the 'father' of the Japanese whisky industry, is a blend of single malts from the Yoichi and Miyagikyo distilleries. Named the Japanese Whisky of 2019 by the Whiskey Bible. Nicely balanced, pleasant to drink. At 43%.
