For those looking for a classic, old school sherried whisky, this is a bottle to think about. It is a Macallan single malt whisky that came out quite a while ago already, after having matured for 12 years in carefully selected sherry casks. (40%).
An 18 year old Macallan single malt whisky with vintage 1988! A classic exemplary sherried whisky from the famous brand. Bottled in 2006, and since then rated with a very high score. If this is not a collector's item! (43%)
It never became well known, the Millburn distillery that closed in 1985, but the single malt whisky always received very good ratings. So attention for this 35-year-old Rare Malts bottling! Bottled in 2005 at 51.2% cask strength. Something really special!
When the Caperdonich Distillery closed in 2002, it had never released bottlings of their single malt whisky. Remarkably enough, a few original brand bottlings appeared after the closure. Like this one: peated (!), aged for 18 years in bourbon casks, 48%.
A special Diageo Special Release from 2007: a 36 year old Glenury Royal (vintage 1970). The distillery closed in 1986. Relatively few, but very good scoring bottlings of this single malt whisky have been released. At an amazing 57,9%, bottle 774
Clynelish 1972 Rare Malts edition, scoring a massive 92 points on average. This Clynelish is easily one of the best from an already excellent vintage: 1972. Hard to find and becoming scarcer by the day.
Speyside distillery Convalmore closed as early as 1983. Little chance that you will come across a bottle of this single malt whisky. But now there is one in our shop! Vintage 1978 and 24 years old. A bottle that rightly scores very well. Take your chance!
Okay, from which of the 50 or so Speyside distilleries does this single malt whisky come? No idea. We do know that this malt aged for no less than 28 years in a bourbon cask, which means that the ABV percentage is almost at the critical limit: 40.1%!
With this Glenlivet we have something special in our shop. It went into the cask in 1952 and was bottled by the Swiss Lateltin after an unknown period. The bottle has a screw cap, and whatever the label says, it's a single malt whisky!
A Littlemill single malt whisky where the emphasis is more on the wood than on the fruity notes. In this way this 22-year-old bottling by Berry Bros & Rudd shows us a different, surprising side of this Lowlander. Bottled in 2013, at 46%.
Interesting! A distillery bottling of Benrinnes single malt whisky with vintage 1974! This Speysider was bottled in 1996, at the age of 21. You can find this bottling here and there, but nowhere for such a competitive price as in our shop!
Almost all bottlings of Inchgower single malt whisky come from independent bottlers. This bottling is an exception because it was released in 2004 after 27 years of maturation as a Rare Malts Selection from distillery owner Diageo. (bottled at 55.6% ABV)
A real old, rare bottle now. This Dallas Dhu single malt whisky was bottled in 1997 (61.9% ABV) long after the distillery closed. The very good scoring dram is now in our shop for a competitive price. Take your chance!
The bottlings in Diageo's Rare Malts Selection consistently scored well. This includes this bottling of a Teaninich single malt whisky that was released in 1997. The spirit for this whisky was distilled in 1973: a real 'old skool' Teaninich! (57.1% ABV)
This Glen Mhor single malt whisky was casked in 1976. 28 years later, the distillery had long since been demolished, it was bottled at 51.9%. In the following years, this dram received very good marks and became increasingly rare. And now it's in our shop
For our competitive price you won't find it anywhere else, this Rare Malts Selection from the Mannochmore Distillery, which started in 1971. The quirky single malt whisky was launched in 1974 and, at the age of 22, was bottled more than twenty years ago!
A 20-year-old Lowland single malt, from the currently closed distillery and soon to be re-opened. Distilled at the Rosebank distillery in 1981 and bottled in May 2002 for the Rare Malts series. In excellent condition including the inner folder.
The Bladnoch distillery was once known as the 'Queen of the Lowlands'. So it's unsurprising that a Bladnoch single malt whisky appeared in the renowned Rare Malts Selection. This 23-year-old malt was bottled in 2001. ( 53.6%, top of the box is damaged)
