The whisky in this bottling is not as old as the label suggests, but with 27 years of cask maturation, this Ardmore single malt certainly has a respectable age. The lightly peated Highland whisky matured in a refill and a 2nd-fill PX cask. (52.8%)
Well, 'GF', which whisky would that be? A Glenfarclas, we know from a reliable source! The Speyside single malt, best known for its sherried bottlings, matured for 20 years in a first-fill bourbon cask before Living Souls bottled it at 48%. Interesting!
Quality bottler Gordon & MacPhail has a favourably priced bottling series in Spirit of Scotland. In this series, this Tomatin single malt whisky was released in 2026. The Highlander matured in a refill bourbon cask and is bottled at 58.1% cask strength.
Since its founding in 2012, Maltbarn has built a good reputation as a bottler. With the new Fractals bottling series, quality is once again the top priority. This 12-year-old, bourbon-aged Staoisha (peated Bunnahabhain) was released in that series. 53.3%
In 2026, Martin Diekmann's Maltbarn bottled this 17-year-old Teaninich in the Fractals series. The whisky from the Highland distillery largely goes into Johnnie Walker Red Label, but here the single malt matured for 17 years in a bourbon cask. (52.0%)

Artistic labels and beautiful bottles characterise Fragrant Drops bottlings, but of course, it's primarily about the whiskies inside those bottles. And that is certainly the case, as with this 12-year-old, bourbon-aged Dailuaine single malt. (57.2%)
This Glenlivet single malt matured for 19 years in a modern sherry cask. The classic Speysider clearly absorbed sherry influences, but certainly retained its own character. This results in a varied, balanced and attractive flavour profile. (57.1%)

Behind an old-fashioned label, this bottle hides a 17-year-old Isle of Jura single malt whisky. It is a bottling by Decadent Drinks. The malt from the Isle of Jura matured in a refill bourbon cask, a barrel, yielding 125 bottles at 54.8% ABV.
This single malt whisky was distilled in an (unnamed) Islay distillery, according to bottler Maltbarn. The whisky then matured for 24 years in a sherry cask and was bottled at 51.8%. Incidentally, the label features an image of the Laphroaig Distillery.
Like many Speyside distilleries, Tamdhu was built to supply malt for the blends. It was not until 1976 that the first Tamdhu single malt was released. And there are independent bottlings like this one: 12 years old, sherry-matured, and nicely priced! 46%
The distillery behind this 21-year-old, bourbon-matured single malt whisky was previously shrouded in mystery, but we now have reliable information that it's whisky from the Isle of Jura Distillery. It's certainly a fine, full-bodied dram! (54.5% ABV)
Behind the whimsical labels of The Whisky Blues bottlings lie some serious whiskies. Like this 23-year-old single malt from the Dailuaine distillery, built in the Speyside in 1852. It matured in a first-fill bourbon cask and was bottled at 57.0% ABV.
Auchroisk was founded in the 1970s to supply single malt to the blending industry. Fortunately, every now and then, bottlings of this Speyside malt escape that fate, so we can sample it. For example, this 14-year-old, Oloroso-matured edition. (58.4%)

You don't come across a Kentucky straight bourbon whiskey finished in French wine casks every day. So, attention for this Daviess County from Lux Row Distillers! Distilled from corn, wheat, rye, and barley and finished in Cabernet Sauvignon casks. (48%)
This Deanston bottling beautifully blends the fresh, fruity distillery profile with the influence of the premium bourbon cask in which the single malt matured for 8 years. Besides the fruit, there are notes of butter, grain, spice, and minerality. (53%)
