Eighty years ago, the Glenallachie Distillery was built in the Speyside, but it wasn’t until 2018 that their first core bottlings appeared. Independent bottlings of the single malt appeared earlier and still do, like this one from Cadenhead. (10y, 46%)
Specially bottled for the Netherlands, this single cask bottling of the American Westward Whiskey. Outside of the US and Australia, you won't easily come across Westward whisky, so extra special, this single malt whisky finished in a stout cask! (50%)
Keep an eye on that new series from Cadenhead, Original Collection! For a very reasonable price, you can find fine bottlings there, such as this 13-year-old Ben Nevis. The classic Highlander matured in both Oloroso and bourbon hogsheads. (46%)
Glen Spey single malt whisky is not something you come across very often. This bottling by James Eadie is a great opportunity to get acquainted with this Speysider. The whisky matured for 12 years in a first-fill Oloroso cask and is bottled at 52.5% ABV.
Unlike most other blended Scotch whiskies, Turntable's does list which whiskies are in it and at what percentage. This is also the case with this superb Born to be Wild-edition. The blend matured in sherry and two kinds of bourbon casks. (53% ABV)
Auchroisk was founded in the 1970s to supply single malt to the blending industry. Fortunately, every now and then, bottlings of this Speyside malt escape that fate, so we can sample it. For example, this 14-year-old, Oloroso-matured edition. (58.4%)
The beautiful label of this The Cauldrons bottling from Douglas Laing symbolises the solar eclipse. This is a blend of Campbeltown single malt whiskies, finished in orange wine casks (wine from white grapes that matured with their skins). (52.9% ABV)
This Torabhaig single malt is one of the first independent bottlings from the young Skye-based distillery, bottled by newcomer Living Souls. The whisky matured for 7 years in bourbon casks. Bonfire smoke, orchard fruit, and maritime notes. (51.5% ABV)
Bottler James Eadie has a Distilleries of Great Britain & Ireland Commemorative series. This 13-year-old Dufftown single malt appeared in that series. The Speysider matured in two first-fill bourbon casks, bottled at 52.3% and at a reasonable price.
Inchfad is a peated single malt whisky from the Loch Lomond Distillery. The whisky in this Infrequent Flyers bottling matured for more than half of its 9 years in a virgin oak cask. This gives this youthful dram a full and intense character. (58.5% ABV)
In their long-named bottling series, James Eadie releases affordable whiskies from Scottish and Irish distilleries. This is a Linkwood, a single malt from the Speyside, Scotland. It matured for 14 years in a re-charred bourbon cask. (52.4% ABV)
With this Perspective No. 01, the Isle of Jura distillery team returns to an old favourite: Diurachs' Own, a distillery classic. This Perspective is a 16-year-old, bourbon-aged single malt whisky, (partially) finished in Oloroso casks. (46.5% ABV)
Like many Speyside distilleries, Tamdhu was built to supply malt for the blends. It was not until 1976 that the first Tamdhu single malt was released. And there are independent bottlings like this one: 12 years old, sherry-matured, and nicely priced! 46%
The French bottler Le Gus't is releasing a special bottling of a single malt from the Glasgow Distillery, founded in 2012. The whisky matured for 9 years in a Vin de Paille wine cask. Rich in flavour: dried fruit, dates, nuts, and more. (57.9% ABV)
With this Glenrothes, you have a beautifully sherried whisky at a favourable price. The single malt aged for 14 years in a 1st-fill sherry cask before being bottled at 59.9%. Notes like stewed fruit, warm spices, milk chocolate, and blackberries. (59.9%)
Speyside Distillery Tormore is temporarily shut down in 2022. Production will resume in 2026. But you don't have to go without! Cadenhead is releasing a 14-year-old Tormore single malt. The whisky matured in bourbon and Oloroso casks. (46% ABV)

With Cadenhead's Enigma series, you can guess which whisky it is; the bottler doesn't specify, only mentioning the region. Okay, so this Speysider spent the last two of its 12 years maturing in an Oloroso sherry cask and is bottled at 50%.
26% sherried Tamdhu, 21% bourbon-matured Dalmunach, 18% bourbon-matured Mannochmore, and 35% Girvan, 22% of which is matured in bourbon and 13% in Marsala casks—this is Turntable's recipe for this Harder, Better, Stronger, Faster blended Scotch. (59.1%)

Compass Box calls this bottling 'our majestic king'. Matured in sherry and red wine casks, the whisky got a crimson colour. King Crimson. In addition to the colour, the casks also gave the blend intense notes of chocolate, plum jam and red currant. (46%)
