Springbank 16-year-old Local Barley

This Springbank was released in 2016 in a limited edition. It matured for 16 years in 80% bourbon and 20% sherry casks before being bottled at cask strength (54.3%). What makes this single malt whisky really special is that it is made from local barley.

Springbank 18-year-old - 23/96 - Bottled 11.05.2023

Following the tradition of this Campbeltown brand, this 18-year-old Springbank single malt whisky has again matured in bourbon (20%) and sherry (65%) casks, but now also partly in rum casks! The beloved Springbank character remains the same, of course!

Springbank 10-year-old - 23/157 - Bottled 19.07.2023

Springbank is the only larger Scottish distillery where the entire production process of single malt whisky takes place on-site, manually, from malting to cask storage. You can taste that, like with this 10-year-old batch 23/232: a real old-school malt!

Kilkerran Work in Progress - 4th Release

Definitely a bottle for those interested in modern whisky history. This is the 4th edition in the experimental phase of the (re)started Glengyle Distillery at the beginning of this century. This Kilkerran single malt whisky was released in 2012. (46%)

Lagavulin 12-year-old - Diageo Special Releases 2013

The Special Releases from Diageo are looked forward to every year because they are... well, special releases. This Lagavulin was released in 2013. The peated single malt whisky matured for 12 years in bourbon casks and is bottled at cask strength (55.1%)

Laphroaig Cask Strength #007

Islay distillery Laphroaig has hit the mark with its 10-year-old cask strength bottlings. The editions of this single malt whisky have consistently scored very well over the years. This bottling (2015) now has more than 88 points. Bottled at 56.3%.

Isle of Jura 1999 - Boutique Barrels

This is an extra striking edition in the already special Boutique Barrels bottling series of the Jura distillery: while Jura's single malt whisky is unpeated as standard, the bourbon-aged whisky in this bottling is peated (for the insider: 30ppm)! (55%)

Lagg Corriecravie Edition

This is the first sherried whisky from the young LAGG distillery on the Isle of Arran. This edition is named after a nearby village. The peated single malt whisky first matured in bourbon casks and then six months in Oloroso sherry casks. (55% ABV)

Glendronach 1993 Single Cask for La Maison du Whisky & The Nectar

This Glendronach single malt whisky matured for 21 years in a large Oloroso sherry cask. Given the high score of this whisky on the Whiskybase, it was an excellent cask (what we could expect from Glendronach). Bottled at a cask strength of 56.4%.

Glendronach Cask Strength - Batch 2

This Batch 2, released in 2013, is slightly different than the Batch 3 of a series of Cask Strength bottlings bottled in the same year. This single malt whisky also matured in Oloroso and PX casks and is therefore again a real Glendronach. (55.2%)

Glendronach Cask Strength - Batch 3

Why Glendronach is known for their sherried whisky also becomes clear with this bottle, released in 2013 in Batch 3 of a series of Cask Strength bottlings. The single malt whisky matured in Oloroso and PX casks and is bottled at 54.9%.

Ardbeg Supernova Committee Release 2015

All of Ardbeg's Supernova bottlings, released since 2008, scored high to very high. That also applies to this Committee Release from 2015. Full, creamy, complex, and of course (Ardbeg!) ashy and smoky. An exclusive single malt whisky. (bottled at 53.3%)

Ballechin 18-year-old - Cask Strength Edition

At 18 years old, the sharp edges are gone, but this Ballechin single malt whisky still has the smokiness characteristic of this brand. This is the first batch of an 18-year-old malt in the new Cask Strength series, bourbon matured, bottled at 50.9%.

Ballechin 13-year-old - Cask Strength Edition

A new label design adorns this Ballechin bottling. Ballechin is the heavily peated version of Edradour's single malt whisky. This Ballechin is released in the Cask Strength Edition series. It is 13 years old and matured in bourbon and sherry casks. 54.9%

Arran Machrie Moor 10-year-old

An new edition edition by the Arran distillery of their peated single malt whisky Machrie Moor. This whisky, which is bottled at 46%, is not too heavily peated and therefore remains a pleasantly drinkable dram, with the Arran profile clearly recognizable.

Tamnavulin 2009 Sherwoods

Little is known about the Dutch bottler Sherwoods, except that it bottles standard at cask strength. We think this is its fourth bottling. It is a 13-year-old Tamnavulin single malt whisky at 57.6%, that matured in a bourbon hogshead. Curious?

Fettercairn 2011 Chapter 7

Fettercairn works with traditional distillation equipment but uses an unorthodox technique to cool the stills, resulting in a 'lighter' spirit. The single malt whisky in this Chapter 7-bottling matured for 11 years in a bourbon cask. (51.6% cask strength)

Yoichi 10-year-old - No Box

Yoichi 12-year-old - No Box

Due to the maturation in sherry casks, this 12-year-old Yoichi single malt whisky has a complex aroma palette. The combination of salty, peaty components and balanced sherry flavors make this Japanese a very drinkable whisky. Bottled at 45%.

Yoichi 15-year-old - No Box

This bottling from the first decade of this century is a 15-year-old single malt whisky from the renowned Japanese Yoichi distillery, matured in bourbon, sherry and virgin oak casks and bottled at 45%. An intense, well-balanced and accessible dram.
