This is the 3rd edition in Bowmore's Aston Martin Masters' Selection series, the result of a collaboration between the Islay distillery and the renowned car manufacturer. The single malt whisky matured for 22 years in American oak and Oloroso casks. 51.4%
In 2006, Islay distillery Bowmore released this bottling in their Cask Strength series Vaults. The peated single malt whisky was bottled at 56.0% ABV. How long the whisky was matured and in which casks is unknown, but it tastes like a sherried dram.

This is the 96th edition of Whisky Sponge whisky—on to the 100th! It is a 19-year-old Bruichladdich single malt whisky that matured in a 1st fill bourbon cask and is bottled at cask strength (57.1%). It is a very creamy, powerful dram with maritime notes.
In 2015, the Scottish Rest & be Thankful Whisky Company released this 10-year-old Bruichladdich single malt whisky. The Islay malt matured in a Cadiz wine cask and was bottled at cask strength. And with 65.2%, 'strength' is the right word here!

A nice introduction to bourbon whiskey, this standard bottle from Bulleit Distillery Co. A friendly price for a nice, not too complex bourbon. And then gives the extra rye in the recipe this bourbon whiskey also its own character.
The '95' on the label of this Bulleit rye whiskey stands for the percentage of rye in the mash. And that is a lot. If you want to know what a real rye whiskey tastes like, then this American Bulleit is a good example. And that for a reasonable price!
A nice sherried single malt. Solid with layers of complexity. The influence of the sherry cask isn't overpowering the whisky at all, leaving enough space for the delicate dried fruits and warming spices to come through. Pleasantly quaffable!
A limited edition bottling, that's the 2021 edition of this Bunnahabhain single malt whisky. It is 12 years old and matured in both sherry and bourbon casks. This resulted in a complex palette of dried fruit, vanilla, roasted nuts and maritime notes.
Sherried, nutty, unpeated, says the label of this Bunnahabhain bottling. The single malt whisky was released as Small Batch Distilled, Cask Strength Edition 2025. The Bunna matured for 12 years in Oloroso sherry casks and was bottled at 56,4% ABV.
This 18-year-old single malt whisky, one of Bunnahabhain's flagships, is powerful but not overly sherried, not overly sweet. There's also a hint of peat smoke in the complex palate. Notable for a normally unpeated Islay malt. (46.3%)
The whiskies in Douglas Laing's Old Particular series are indeed well-aged and often exceptional. This Bunnahabhain is no exception: the single malt matured for 24 years in a sherry cask and is truly an old-school dram, complex and drinkable. (49.1%)
