Big Peat represents a series of blends of four peated Islay single malts. The first The Robbie's Drams Edition was released in 2018. Bottled for a Scottish whisky merchant, in a limited edition of 150 bottles, at 48.0% ABV.
On its World Tour, Big Peat also visited Austria a few times, including in 2021 with this The Steiermark Edition. The peated blend of four Islay single malt whiskies was bottled by Douglas Laing at an ABV of 48.0%.
This Big Peat edition was specially bottled by Douglas Laing in 2019 for the French drinks retailer V&B. 600 bottles were filled with a blend of four peated Islay single malt whiskies, at an ABV of 46%.
Because this Big Peat edition was intended for Germany, the label features the German word for Father's Day. And 'Vater' would certainly have been pleased with this blend of Islay single malt whiskies (Caol Ila, Bowmore, Ardbeg and even Port Ellen)! (48%)
