The Bunnahabhain Distillery on whisky island Islay mainly produces non-peated single malt whisky, but they make also smoky drams. Take the Toiteach a Dhà (Gaelic for 'Smoky Two'), for example: matured in bourbon and Oloroso sherry casks. Bottled at 46.3%.

Rare Irish Whiskey is the name of the series in which this Bushmill's single malt whiskey was released. This Irish single malt matured in bourbon, port and oloroso sherry casks for a total of 16 years before being bottled at 40% strength in 2021.
In a limited edition, the Irish Bushmills Distillery released this single malt whisky in 2020 in The Causeway Selection series. The triple distilled malt is finished in French Banyuls wine casks and bottled at a cask strength of 53,2%.

Cambus's turbulent history as a grain distillery dates back to 1836 and ended with its closure in 1993. Fortunately, bottlings of this single-grain whisky are still being released, such as this Fragrant Drops. (40 years old, sherry-matured, 45.6% ABV)

A nice example of the distillery character, this 12-year-old Caol Ila. Tough and yet subtle, and nicely balanced with the smoke and peat notes typical of Caol Ila. A good and affordable entry into the world of 'peated' Islay whisky.
This Caol Ila bottling in the Discovery series by Gordon & MacPhail has aged for 13 years in clearly active bourbon casks. In this Islay single malt whisky you will find notes of vanilla, caramel, fruit and leather, and salty peat smoke and iodine.
In honor of Dutchman Han van Wees's 60th anniversary in the whisky trade (think of The Ultimate whisky bottlings), Gordon & MacPhail released this 14-year-old Caol Ila single malt whisky. The peated Islay malt matured in a first-fill sherry cask. (52.8%)
Just like the year before, bottler Asta Morris released a 7-year-old Caol Ila single malt whisky in 2019, matured in a sherry cask. This edition, too, is a complex, creamy, full-bodied, and beautifully balanced sherried dram. (55.9%)
The whiskies in Decadent Drinks' Equinox & Solstice series are always bottled at the easy drinking strength of 48.5%. That goes also for this Autumn Edition, a Caol Ila single malt whisky that matured for 11 years in an Oloroso European oak cask.
The eighth Caol Ila bottling in Elixir Distillers’ Elements of Islay series was released in 2017. The single malt whisky was matured in five bourbon casks and bottled at 55.2% cask strength. It has received a score of about 86 points on Whiskybase so far.
To the regret of many whisky lovers, the Caperdonich Distillery closed in 2002. Ten years later, this Director's Cut bottling from Douglas Laing was released: a 30 (!) year old, refill sherry cask-matured Caperdonich single malt. (50.9%, score: 90.1)
This is a standard bottling from Speyside distillery Cardhu. This single malt whisky has matured for 18 years in bourbon and sherry casks and is bottled at 40% ABV. That makes this a typical, fruity and round Speysider, a pleasantly drinkable dram.
You can find distillery bottlings of Cardhu single malt whisky in most liquor stores, but bottlings like this... This is a real collector's item: the Speysider was vatted in 1973. After 27 years of maturation, it was bottled at a cask strength of 60.2%.

Rotterdam's Cley Distillery distils its whisky according to traditional Dutch traditions. This 5-year-old Dutch Single Malt Whisky Manzanilla is no exception. It matured for 3 years in 1st-fill bourbon casks and then in small Manzanilla sherry casks. 48%
This Cley single malt whisky matured for 3 years in a bourbon cask and 1.5 years in a Palo Cortado octave. Palo Cortado is a fairly rare sherry with the fullness of Oloroso and the freshness of Amontillado. You can really taste that in this dram. (52%)
After maturing in a bourbon cask, this 5-year-old single malt whisky from the Dutch Cley Distillery was finished for 2 years in a cask that previously contained a peated malt from the Isle of Mull, resulting in a smoky dram with tropical fruit notes. 53%
