A new bottling from the casQueteers, a non-profit group of whisky enthusiasts. It's a Glen Elgin single malt whisky matured for 16 years in a bourbon hogshead. It's a deliciously fruity dram with notes of apple, pear, and mango. (53.9% ABV)
The word Glendronach immediately brings to mind a beautifully sherried single malt whisky. But every now and then, Glendronachs don't mature in sherry casks: this 14-year-old edition matured in bourbon casks and is finished in American virgin oak. (46%)

Bottler Douglas Laing has been in business since 1948 and has built a rock-solid reputation with over 5,300 bottlings. One of those thousands of bottlings was this 11-year-old, bourbon-cask-matured Ben Nevis single malt whisky in 2009.
Alistair Walker certainly knows how to finish, as these six Infrequent Flyers bottling samples prove! How about a 37-year-old Invergorden finished in a rye whisky cask, a Ben Nevis finished in a Valpolicella cask, and an Aultmore finished in a PX? (6x2cl)
Of the 10 years that this Aultmore single malt whisky matured, the last three and a half were in a Pedro Ximénez cask. You can tell from the colour alone! Alistair Walker bottled the Speysider at 55.4% cask strength under the Infrequent Flyers brand.
The malt whisky produced by Glenlossie Distillery is ideal for blending, but bottlings like this one prove that the single malt whisky is also quite good on its own. The 16-year-old malt is finished for about one and a half years in a PX cask. (54.7%)
Another interesting finishing experiment from Alistair Walker! This 37-year-old Invergordon single grain whisky has spent the last almost four years maturing in a cask that previously held an American rye whisky. It's certainly intriguing! ( 44.5% ABV)
A virgin oak cask often powerfully enhances the flavour of the whisky that matures in it. This Blair Athol single malt whisky matured in such a cask for the last four years of a total of 17 years before being bottled by Alistair Walker in 2025. (50.8%)
The classic Highlander Ben Nevis is finished here in a rather special cask: of the 13 years this single malt whisky matured, the last four were in a Recioto della Valpolicella wine cask. The Alistair Walker Whisky Company bottled it at 58.7% ABV.
Speyside distillery Glenburgie's production has always focused on blends, but its single malt whisky bottlings are certainly worth mentioning! This 13-year-old Infrequent Flyers Edition is finished in a red wine cask from the Languedoc region. (58.9%)

The Glencadam Distillery opened its doors two centuries ago, but it wasn't until 2003, under new ownership, that the brand gained any recognition. This is the first Glencadam bottling from Archives, a 14-year-old, bourbon-matured single malt at 57.3% ABV.
Aberlour is best known for its sherried single malts, but their bourbon-aged whisky is also quite something. Archives has already proven this with previous bottlings of this Speysider, and now again with this 16-year-old bottling at 55.5% cask strength.
