Knockdhu 2006 Chapter 7

You don't often come across the single malt whisky from the Speyside distillery Knockdhu as an independent bottling. But here's one from bottler Chapter 7. The malt is 16 years old and it matured in a bourbon cask that produced 334 bottles at 51.5%.

Tobermory 1994 Chapter 7

Chapter 7 is the bottling company of a Swiss who moved to Scotland. Always looking for special whiskies. And this is one of them: it's a 28 year old single malt whisky from the Tobermory Distillery on the Isle of Mull. Matured in a bourbon cask. (52% ABV)

Kilchoman 100% Islay - The 4th Edition

This is an early edition of the Kilchoman 100% Islay whisky. This peated malt from farm distillery Kilchoman is the only Single Farm Single Malt Scotch Whisky on whisky island Islay. Distilled from their own barley, aged and bottled on their own premises.

Macallan 25-year-old - The Queen's Silver Jubilee - Gordon & MacPhail

On the occasion of the 25th anniversary of Queen Elizabeth II in 1977, bottler Gordon & MacPhail released this 25 year old Macallan single malt whisky. A special bottle then, but now, 45 years later, extra special. And it scores high! (bottled at 40%)

Talisker Dark Storm

Specially for sale at airports, this Dark Storm is from the Talisker distillery on the Scottish island of Skye. A standard bottling in a liter bottle. For a long time Talisker was the only distillery on the island, recently there is a second one. Hence.

Bunnahabhain 2013 - Valinch & Mallet

Has the distillery profile of this Bunnahabhain single malt whisky been preserved after 9 years aging in a sherry cask? Knowing bottler Valinch & Mallet, it almost have to. Combined with the sweetness and notes of stewed fruit from the sherry cask. 52.8%

Littlemill 1991 Douglas Laing

Bottler Douglas Laing's Old Malt Cask series is highly regarded. That's thanks to bottlings like this one. It is an 18 year old Littlemill single malt whisky that matured in a bourbon cask: sweet malt, citrus, toffee, trifle, vanilla and caramel. (50%)

Westland American Single Malt - Thoughtfully Made

'Thoughtfully Made' is the motto of the Northwestern American Westland Distillery. You can read what they mean by that on the back label, but of course you can also just taste their single malt whisky (or 'whiskey' in American style) to find it out. (46%)

Glenrothes 2007 Archives

Matured in an ex bourbon hogshead for 15 years. This is an extremely drinkable whisky especially with a splash of water. Fresh apples, pear, honey, and subtle citrus notes. A mint and honey finish.

BenRiach 1977 - Cask 9119 - Bottled for Asta Morris

In 2011 and 2012, the BenRiach distillery bottled a number of special casks of its single malt whisky especially for the Belgian Asta Morris. This edition, the 1977, matured for 33 years in a refill bourbon cask and was bottled at 45.7% cask strength.

Westward Single Barrel - Stout Cask - WTF Utrecht

Specially bottled for the Netherlands, this single cask bottling of the American Westward Whiskey. Outside of the US and Australia, you won't easily come across Westward whisky, so extra special, this single malt whisky finished in a stout cask! (50%)

Westward Single Barrel - Cask 392 - WTF Utrecht

For the first time that we have a single malt from the idiosyncratic Westward Whiskey on the shelf. The young American craft distillery brews beer from a special barley variety and then distills it in special 'low reflux' pot stills. Curious? (62.5%)

Dailuaine 1997 Signatory Vintage - Casks 7764 + 7765

The color of this single malt whisky suggests that it matured in sherry casks, the label refers to two hogsheads, which usually indicates bourbon casks. Anyway, this Dailuaine matured for 24 years in those casks and was bottled at cask strength: 57.6%.

The Singleton of Glen Ord 15-year-old - Diageo Special Releases 2022

The Glen Ord Distillery is producing single malt whisky since 1838. Today it is best known for its reasonably priced standard bottlings. But this Special Release is something different: 15 years old, matured in bourbon and wine casks and bottled at 54.2%.

Blended Malt Scotch Chapter 7 - Prologue Batch 2

Some bottlers like to blend whisky, and Chapter 7 is one of them. In the series Prologue they released this Blended Malt Scotch Whisky, age unknown. The single malt whiskies matured in bourbon casks (barrels) and are bottled at a strength of 47% ABV.

Dailuaine 2011 Chapter 7

Dailuaine has hardly ever released bottlings of their own product, but it is one of the larger distilleries in the Speyside. To get to know this single malt whisky better, this Chapter 7 bottling is very suitable. It aged for 11 years in a bourbon cask.

Tomintoul 2010 Chapter 7

The Tomintoul Distillery started in the 1960s, and has been releasing bottlings of their single malt whisky since 1974. Third parties also market this Speysider. As Chapter 7 does here with this malt that matured for 11 years in an Amontillado cask. 52.5%

Laphroaig 18-year-old - Queen's Diamond Jubilee

In 2012, this special Laphroaig single malt whisky appeared in an edition of 3000 bottles at the Diamond Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth. The 18 year old peated Islay malt is creamy and has a complex palette of flavors that are nicely balanced. (48%)

Glendronach 08-year-old - Ruffino Import

This is not just any 8 year old Glendronach single malt whisky. You can tell by the bottle (a Dumpy Green Bottle, 75 cl, with a withered, discolored seal). This is a bottling from perhaps the 1970s, maybe earlier. This is a real 'old skool' dram! (43%)

Dailuaine Murray McDavid - Creamy & Sweet

Bottler Murray McDavid reverts to the maturation process of top wines for the maturation of whisky under the motto 'The Art of Maturation'. This Dailluaine single malt whisky is finished in small (quarter cask), organic bourbon casks from Koval. (44,5%)

Glen Garioch 2011 Brachadair

Founded in 1797, the Glen Garioch distillery is one of the oldest in Scotland. In addition to own bottlings, there are also third-party editions of this Highland single malt whisky. Like this one that matured in a bourbon cask for almost 11 years. (58.1%)

Invergordon 1989 Brachadair

The second Invergordon bottling from bottler Brachadair (‘Belgian roots…but Gaelic at heart’). This Invergordon single grain whisky is 33 years old. It matured all this time in a bourbon cask, a barrel. The grain was bottled in 193 bottles at 55.6%.

Four Roses Single Barrel

Something different from the average bourbon in which you thoughtless tuck your ice cubes, this Four Roses Single Barrel Kentucky straight bourbon whiskey. Complex, full and supple, with a subtle, long finish. Try it without ice first is our advice!

Reservoir Virginia Rye - Batch 1 - 2022

The Reservoir Distillery started in 2008 in Richmond, Virginia. The distillery wants to create its own tradition with distilling whisky. This Virginia Rye is an example of that. Made from 100% rye and matured in 'alligator charred' quarter casks. (50%)
