In its Ultimate series, Van Wees released this 14-year-old Oloroso cask-finished Balmenach. The Balmenach distillery has been distilling single malt whisky for about two centuries, a whisky in the typical Speyside style, but with its own character. (46%)
The unique purifiers on the stills at Glen Spey Distillery create a light, delicate single malt whisky. Despite this, this whisky has always been under-exposed. Discover it at a great price with this 16-year-old, sherried bottling by Van Wees. (46%)
Under the Creetown Distillers brand, Whiskybroker releases a 17-year-old Irish single malt whisky (or 'whiskey', in Irish). We don't know which distillery this malt comes from, but we do know that it matured in three bourbon casks. (41.4%)
For a reasonable price, you can get a very pleasantly drinkable dram with this blended Scotch whisky. This blend by Thompson Bros, of which the youngest whisky is 6 years old, is a balanced sherried one and sometimes reminds you of old-skool blends. (46%)

Unique: this bottle comes packaged in a guitar case! It comes from a bottling in celebration of the Arran Malt & Music Festival 2018, a blend of Arran single malt whiskies matured in three types of cask: French, Spanish and American oak. (57.6%)
Fun fact: Behind a famous distillery on the Orkney Islands lie the Whitlaw Hills. But back to business. Bottled by Signatory Vintage in their Vintage Collection, this single malt whisky matured for 10 years in re-charred bourbon casks. (46%)
Signatory Vintage is known for its high-quality, often special bottlings. This Ardbeg bottling is an extraordinary one! The peated Islay single malt whisky was vatted in a first-fill Oloroso cask in 1991 and was bottled 33 years later. (52.6%)
A 12-year-old sherried Bowmore single malt whisky for this price; you don't want to miss that out! The mildly peated Islay malt matured in Oloroso and bourbon casks before having an oloroso finish. Released in the Sherry Oak Cask series. (40%)
Just a few months ago, there was the Ardnahoe Inaugural release, and here comes the young Islay distillery with this, also 5-year-old Infinite Loch. The peated single malt whisky matured in ex-bourbon and Oloroso casks and is bottled at 50% ABV.
FEW Spirits in Illinois distils craft bourbon, rye whiskey and gin, as well as products like this Black Rebel Motorcycle Club that they call 'an uneasy mix of whiskey' themselves. The whisky is finished in rum and vermouth casks and bottled at 50.5% ABV
Heaven's Door, founded in 2015 by Bob Dylan, bottles exceptional American and Irish whiskies. This, for example, is a straight bourbon whiskey finished in Calvados casks and on toasted oak staves, released in the Exploration Series. (54%)

This Velvet Cap edition from Ireland's Blackwater Distillery is a mildly peated single malt whisky finished in sherry casks. With its 5 years of maturation it is a young whisky, but surprisingly full and balanced, the peat smoke is subtly present. 40%
To clear up any ambiguity: Ardlair single malt whisky comes from the famous Ardmore Distillery. Released by bottler Van Wees in the The Ultimate series, this Ardlair aged for 13 years in refill sherry casks and was bottled at a hefty 63.5% cask strength.
Bottler Van Wees always tries to keep the price of its The Ultimate bottlings manageable, like this 12-year-old Linkwood single malt whisky. It first matured in a bourbon cask and was finished for 21 months in an Oloroso cask. (56.8%)
A true Speyside malt, this 12-year-old Glen Elgin bottled by casQueteers, with lots of fruity notes: apple, grapes, peach, lemon, banana, and more. In addition, notes such as cinnamon, sawdust, pencil and malt. The single malt whisky is bottled at 57.7%.
In 2020, the 160,000th unique bottle was registered in the Whiskybase. To celebrate that with the Whiskybase members, this bottling was released. It is a 23-year-old Glenrothes single malt whisky, matured in a bourbon cask and bottled at 49.1%.
The fifth Ardbeg bottling in Speciality Drinks’ Elements of Islay series was released in 2014. The single malt whisky matured in an Oloroso sherry cask and is bottled at 57.8% cask strength. It received a score of 87.6 points on Whiskybase so far.
The second Lagavulin bottling in Speciality Drinks’ Elements of Islay series was released in 2010. The single malt whisky matured in bourbon and sherry casks and is bottled at 58.0% cask strength. It received a score of 87 points on Whiskybase so far.
The first Lochindaal bottling in Speciality Drinks’ Elements of Islay series was released in 2016. The single malt whisky matured in first-fill bourbon casks, is bottled at 62.5% cask strength and awarded a Whiskybase score of a good 88 points.
The fourth Bunnahabhain bottling in Speciality Drinks' Elements of Islay series was released in 2012. The single malt whisky matured in bourbon casks and is bottled at 54.5% cask strength. This is a peated Bunnahabhain, by the way!
The second Laphroaig bottling in Speciality Drinks’ Elements of Islay series was released in 2011. The single malt whisky was matured in bourbon casks and bottled at 64.1% (!) cask strength. It received a score of almost 86 points on Whiskybase so far.
