Dalrymple 2011 Thompson Brothers

This 13-year-old, Oloroso-matured blended malt from Thompson Bros. contains single malt whisky from the Ailsa Bay distillery, a whisky you don't often encounter. We don't know which other malt or malts are in this blend, or how much. (55.3% cask strength)

Allt-a-Bhainne 1996 Thompson Brothers

Thompson Bros. bottled this Allt-á-Bhainne in 2024 after it had matured for 28 years, the last four of which were spent in a select Oloroso cask. A complex single malt with notes of dates, tobacco, grapefruit, demerara sugar, and rye bread. (49.1% ABV)

Big Peat Winter Edition 2025

In anticipation of the winter season, we present this Big Peat Winter Edition, a blended malt, finished in warming Madeira casks. Douglas Laing's Big Peat bottlings are always blends of peated Islay single malt whiskies. So, yes, 'Big Peat'. (53.6%)

The Gauldrons Eclipse - Campbeltown Blended Malt

The beautiful label of this The Cauldrons bottling from Douglas Laing symbolises the solar eclipse. This is a blend of Campbeltown single malt whiskies, finished in orange wine casks (wine from white grapes that matured with their skins). (52.9% ABV)

Yamazaki Distiller's Reserve

Over ten years ago, Yamazaki, Japan's oldest whisky distillery, released this Distiller's Reserve. The rich, sweet single malt whisky matured in Bordeaux French oak casks, American oak casks, and Japanese oak sherry casks. (NAS, 43% ABV)

Bruichladdich 1993 Wilson & Morgan

The name suggests otherwise, but Wilson & Morgan is an Italian bottler. In 2004, they bottled this 10-year-old Bruichladdich single malt whisky at an Extra Strength of 50% ABV. The unpeated Islay malt matured in a bourbon cask from 1993 onwards.

Kilchoman 11-year-old - 100% Islay

This is the first 11-year-old edition of the Kilchoman 100% Islay single malt whisky. In this 100% Islay series, every step, from sowing the barley to bottling, was taken on the whisky island of Islay. The malt matured in sixteen select Oloroso casks. 50%

Armorik 15-year-old - 2025 Edition

The Breton Distillerie Warenghem has been distilling single malt whisky for about 25 years. The entire process, from barley malt to bottling, takes place at the distillery itself. Like with this 15-year-old, bourbon- and sherry-matured Armorik. (46%)

Glen Scotia 12-year-old - Icons of Campbeltown No. 3: The Wulver

This is the third edition in Glen Scotia's Icons of Campbeltown series, a series inspired by mythical creatures such as the kindhearted wolfman Wulver. This 12-year-old, powerful, warm, yet smooth single malt whisky is finished in port casks. (51.7% ABV)

Cley Whisky - Canasta Finish

Whisky finished in Canasta casks isn't often found, so this Cley Dutch Single Malt is a great opportunity to experience what it's like. This 5-year-old malt is full-bodied, rich, and complex with notes like red fruit, leather, tobacco, and peach. (48%)

Inchfad 2007 North Star Spirits

Inchfad is the name of a peated single malt whisky from the Loch Lomond Distillery. Bottler North Star released this Inchfad in their Cask Series, matured for 18 years in a carefully selected Oloroso cask. A full-bodied, peaty and elegant dram. (51.1%)

Lochlea Ploughing Edition - Third Crop

This is the third release in the Ploughing Edition from Lowlands distillery Lochlea. The single malt whisky matured in casks previously used to mature Islay whisky. This gives the whisky a delicate smoky note, alongside fruity and floral notes. (46% ABV)

Macallan 12-year-old 1000ml

Sometimes there are bottlings that are unjustly overlooked. This is one of them. This 12-year-old Macallan was bottled in 2010, but it didn't make it into the Whiskybase until 2022. This is your chance! (1000 ml, matured in select sherry casks, 40% ABV)

Glasgow Distillery 2017 - Rolf Kaspar

The Glasgow Distillery, founded in 2014, releases its whisky under the 1770 brand, but this is a Rolf Kaspar bottling in the Black Corbie series. The Lowland single malt whisky is 7 years old and matured in a first-fill Oloroso sherry cask. (57.1% ABV)

Mars King of Qingshan 2018 - General Gan

In 2018, the General Gan bottling, part of the King of Qingshan series from the Mars Shinshu Distillery, was released in a very limited edition on the Taiwanese market. It's a blend of malt and grain whisky. You rarely see a bottle like this anymore! 40%

Mars King of Qingshan 2018 - General Liu

In 2018, the General Liu edition, part of the King of Qingshan series from Japan's Mars Shinshu Distillery, was released in a very limited edition on the Taiwanese market. It's a blend of malt and grain whisky. This bottle is quite unique now! (40% ABV)

Miyagikyo 15-year-old - No Box

About twenty years ago, Miyagikyo distillery, which produces the least peated whisky of the Japanese Nikka group, released this 15-year-old, sherry-cask-matured single malt. A subtle, elegant, and complex dram. It is filled at 45% ABV.

Miyagikyo 10-year-old

This 10-year-old Miyagikyo single malt whisky was released in 2009, bottled for La Maison du Whisky. A fine example of Japanese whisky, with its floral and fruity notes, soft smoothness, and perfect balance. A very pleasantly drinkable dram! 45% ABV

Benrinnes 2008 James Eadie

This is a 2022 James Eadie bottling of an 11-year-old Benrinnes single malt whisky, finished in a first-fill Oloroso sherry cask. The malt has a rich, sherry-infused nose. The high cask strength of 59.9% invites you to experiment with a drop of water.

Glentauchers 2011 The Ultimate - Cask 900448

If you'd like to try a sherried Speysider, this Glentauchers single malt whisky, bottled by Van Wees, is definitely worth a try, and not just because of its nice price! The whisky matured for 11 years in a refill Oloroso sherry cask. (Attention: 66.5%!)

Benrinnes 2011 The Ultimate - Cask 5

This 12-year-old Benrinnes single malt whisky is finished in a first-fill Oloroso sherry cask. It's released by Dutch bottler Van Wees under the Ultimate label, known for its affordable bottlings. A great way to get to know this Speysider! (46%)

Lochlea Cask Strength Batch #3

Farm-distillery Lochlea has released Batch 3 of their Cask Strength series. The single malt whisky matured in Oloroso sherry casks and casks previously containing peated Islay malt. A beautiful combination of sherry influences and peat smoke notes. 59.8%

Glenmorangie, never afraid to experiment with maturation, released with this Tale of Spices a complex single malt whisky which matured in four cask types: Moroccan red wine casks, PX casks, charred new oak casks, and re-charred bourbon casks. (46% ABV)
