Blended malt whisky is a mix of malt whisky from casks of various distilleries. Not to be confused with blended whisky which is a mix of malt and grain whiskies.

In 2021, the first Sherried Beast Edition of Douglas Laing's blend of Highland single malts, Timorous Beastie, was released. As the name suggests, it matured in Spanish sherry casks. It was bottled in 420 bottles at 52.4% ABV. (score: 89.0)
Timorous Beastie by Douglas Laing represents a series of blends of Highland single malt whiskies. In 2022, the spicy and sweet Kyuso Edition was released, a bottling of 450 bottles for the Japanese market. Bottled at an ABV of 46.8%.
Uncomplicated, light and yet full of flavor. That is how you could describe this Irish blended malt. A whisky for every day or, in terms of price too, a nice entry-level dram. It is not known which distilleries produced the malt, but what does it matter?
