Taiwanese Whisky AGE has not been around as a bottler for very long yet but has already built up a good name. One of their latest bottlings is this Glenrothes single malt whisky. The Speysider matured in a bourbon cask for 23 years and is bottled at 55.1%
Another Traveller's Exclusive from Highland distillery Pulteney. This time, a 13-year-old edition, matured in bourbon and sherry casks. The single malt whisky is bottled at 43% in 1 liter bottles. A fine whisky for a great price!
Like all Glenfarclas The Family Casks bottlings, this one also belongs to the top of sherried single malt whisky. It matured for about 33 years in a select sherry cask, from which the malt was bottled in 602 bottles in 2022 at a cask strength of 52.3%.
An interesting Writers' Tears edition is this Inniskillin Ice Wine Cask. It is a blend of Irish pot still and single malt whiskey (not something you see often) finished in a cask that previously held a Canadian sweet wine (we didn't see that before). 46%
This is an excellent whisky for after a festive dinner. The 16-year-old Glenmorangie single malt matured in bourbon casks and is finished in an exquisite selection of sweet wine casks (like Sauternes, Moscatel and Tokajer), and you can taste that! (46%)
A special edition of this classic Islay single malt whisky. The 10-year-old Laphroaig is finished in Oloroso casks, creating an intriguing combination of the well-known maritime and peat smoke notes and the complex sweet sherry notes. (48%)
The young, organic Highland distillery Nc'nean has released the third edition in their Quiet Rebels series: the Gordon. Named after Gordon Wood, the distillery manager who selected the excellent casks for maturing this single malt whisky. (48.5%)
This Glenallachie single malt is really a whisky for at the fireplace. It matured for 12 years in a Pedro Ximénez sherry cask, from which it was bottled at a solid 61%. A dram to enjoy while sipping. It was specially bottled for the Netherlands.
The Classic Laddie, a single malt whisky bottling from the quirky Islay distillery Bruichladdich, matured in four different casks: bourbon, sherry, sauternes and red wine. The spirit is distilled from Scottish barley. The whisky is bottled at 50%.
This Crown Royal Fine De Luxe is a bottling from more than 65 years ago by the Canadian Joseph E. Seagram & Sons. It is a blend of Canadian whiskies, bottled at 40% in a beautiful, classic-looking bottle. A whisky of 'Priceless perfection', says the label
Take a cask of The Balvenie single malt whisky, add a teaspoon of Glenfiddich malt, and behold: a cask of Burnside blended malt! After 28 (!) years of maturation, the Taiwanese bottler Whisky Age extracted 224 bottles from that bourbon cask at 48% ABV.
Have you never tasted a single malt whisky from the Kininvie distillery? Then Taiwanese Whisky AGE offers you this unique opportunity! This Aldunie blended malt is nothing more than a 25-year-old Kininvie with a spoonful of other malt mixed in. (53.7%)
The Indian Amrut Distilleries, which has existed since 1948, launched its first Amrut single malt whisky in 2004. Amrut is now an established name. In 2020, they released their first triple-distilled malt, the Triparva. This is batch 3. Worth a try! (50%)
Previous editions of this single malt whisky have been described as incredibly intense, complex, ripe and full. And this edition, the Black Art 11.1, is no less than 24 years old. In that time, this special malt matured in various cask types. (44.2%)
The Neidhal is a peated version of the Indian Amrut single malt whisky. This is the first batch in the Single Malts of India series, where Amrut releases whiskies that have the character of an Indian region. Here, those are salty maritime and peaty notes.
With the very affordable bottlings in Gordon & MacPhail's Discovery series, you can explore the Scotch whisky world! Take this Tomatin single malt whisky, for example. The Highlander matured for about 12 years in a bourbon cask and was bottled at 43%.
You can't go wrong with Buffalo Trace bourbon whiskey: reliable quality, available everywhere and you get what you can expect from a bourbon: notes of vanilla, honey and toffee; a bit spicier. With this liter bottle you get extra value for your money!
This is another solid bottling from the Japanese bottler Acorn. Behind the classic label lies a 24-year-old Glen Grant single malt whisky, released in the Friends of Oak series. The whisky matured in a bourbon cask, from which 141 bottles came at 55.6%.
The young Ardnamurchan distillery has a Cask Strength Release bottling series. This bottling was released in this series in 2023. The single malt whisky matured for 90% in bourbon and 10% in sherry casks. Of course, it is bottled at cask strength (58.1%).
The Girvan grain distillery was built in 1963 in the Lowlands, mainly intended as a supplier of grain whisky for the blending industry. However, single grain bottlings such as this 27-year-old from The Whisky Blues are also regularly released. (55.1%)
The Taiwanese bottler The Whisky Blues already scored 90 points with a Ben Nevis bottling from 1996, now they released a Ben Nevis from 1995. The Highland single malt whisky matured in a sherry cask for 27 years and was bottled at cask strength (50.6%).
Especially for the Dutch market (but with us available worldwide), the Irish Teeling bottled this single malt whisky in their Single Cask series that matured in a cask that previously housed award-winning calvados. Bottled at cask strength (60.7%).
The Bruges Whisky Company set up a new distillery near Bruges specifically for distilling peated whisky in addition to their non-peated malt. However, this Peathia Halfway Christmas bottling is subtly peated by maturation in an ex-Islay cask. (61.3%)
