This Laphroaig (for that is what it is) is quite young at 8 years old, but it has a full, oily mouthfeel and with notes of iodine, tar, ash, almonds, citrus, peat, and salted caramel, it is an exemplary dram from the famous Islay distillery. (64.8%)

The name Wilson & Morgan might not suggest it, but this bottling company was founded by a Venetian Rossi family. In 2004, the bottler released this 13-year-old, bourbon-matured Caol Ila single malt whisky, bottling it at 46% ABV.
This is a bottle from the 50th bottling of the classic A'bunadh series from the Speyside distillery, Aberlour. The A'bunadh series is seen as an example of well-sherried single malt whisky. This batch 50 was released in 2014 at a cask strength of 59.6%.
Gordon & MacPhail bottled this 10-year-old Teaninich single malt whisky for the Dutch importer Van Wees in 2009. The Highland malt matured in a refill sherry cask. For its age, it is a surprisingly smooth whisky, full of sweet fruits. (58.4%)
This is a young Highland Park, bottled by Gordon & MacPhail in 2015 from three first-fill bourbon casks at 57.9% cask strength. The cask influence is obvious with notes of vanilla and honey. The single malt whisky is remarkably modest in its peat smoke.
After 15 years in a bourbon cask, this Blair Athol single malt whisky was bottled by Signatory Vintage in 2003. It was not until 2020 that the bottling was registered in the Whiskybase, until now without ratings. Are you the first to review it? (43%)
With only three men staff, Edradour is one of the smallest Scottish distilleries. This 10-year-old Distillery Edition, with notes of honey, heather, and citrus, is a fine example of their single malt. Previous editions were bottled at 40%, this one at 43%
The vast majority of the malt whisky from the century-and-a-half-old Inchgower Distillery disappears into blends. Fortunately, single malt bottlings of this whisky also appear every now and then, such as this 26-year-old, sherry-matured G&M edition. 54.8%
That Orkney 18 (HP) stands for an 18-year-old Highland Park will come as no surprise, and that this bottling from Signatory Vintage has a nice score is certainly no surprise either. The HP single malt whisky matured in a 1st-fill Oloroso cask. (55.0%)
Here comes bottler Signatory Vintage with a firmly sherried Ben Nevis. The classic Highland single malt whisky matured for 9 years in a 1st-fill Oloroso sherry cask and is bottled at 57.1% (= 100 proof). For a very favourable price, it is yours!
