Cadenhead has had experience bottling whisky since 1850. Distillery Miltonduff has been distilling whisky since 1824, so this bottling is based on a total whisky experience of 375 years! A nice 15-year-old, bourbon-aged single malt for a nice price. (46%)
This is the 8th edition in bottler Signatory Vintage's new, affordable Small Batch series. It is an 11 year old Glenallachie single malt whisky. The Speysider matured in Oloroso sherry casks and was bottled at the Small Batch standard of 48.2%.
A new Ardnamurchan Core Batch, a standard whisky from the young distillery. A feature of the Ardnamurchan single malt bottlings is that they are 50:50 peated/unpeated, and matured for 65% in bourbon and 35% in sherry casks. (6 years old, 46.8%)
You don't come across a Glenallachie single malt whisky that has matured exclusively in an ex-bourbon cask every day. So, if you're curious about what that tastes like, this single is cask a good option. It is bottled at a cask strength of 60.9%.

In 2011, the Isle of Arran Distillery released this special bottling, 'Sleeping Warrior', in 6000 bottles. The single malt whisky matured for more than 10 years in sherry, bourbon and red wine casks and was bottled at 54.9%. Youthful and complex.
Perhaps not the first, but certainly one of the very few whiskies that is partly distilled from spelt. Rye, barley and spelt are the grains for this bottling from the Thy Whisky Distillery, grains from their own soil. Aged in American oak. (48.5%)
The Danish Thy Whisky Distillery is a traditional and organic farm distillery. The entire whisky-making process takes place on the farm. This results in, for example, this bourbon and PX and Oloroso-matured single malt whisky: sweet, rich and fruity (48%)
This Maltbarn bottling is another unspecified single malt whisky from the island of Islay. The label hints at 'Southern A' for the distillery...The whisky matured for 14 years in a bourbon cask and was bottled at 50.2% cask strength. Curious?
The Craigellachie distillery is over 125 years old, but has long maintained a low profile with its single malt whisky. Nowadays they release bottlings themselves, but there are still independent bottlings such as this 16-year-old from Maltbarn. (53.1%)
This 16-year-old single malt whisky from the Double Cask Matured series by distillery Aberlour is a must for fans of non-smoky, fruity sherried whisky. The influence of the bourbon barrel in the background gives this dram extra depth. Bottled at 43%.
Highland distillery Ardmore produces a lightly peated single malt whisky. In this bottling, the peated element is enhanced because Signatory Vintage allowed the whisky to mature for 13 years in casks that previously contained peated Islay whisky. (46%)
With this Cù Bòcan, Tomatin releases a peated variant of its single malt whisky. This 6th edition matured in PX and Jamaican rum casks, which gives this whisky some special notes. The bottle itself expresses the smoky, fiery character of Cù Bòcan. (46%)
The Cask Strength Collection from bottler Signatory Vintage is known for its quality. This single grain whisky from Lowlands distillery North British, 31 years old and matured in an Oloroso cask, appeared in that Collection at the end of 2023, at 56.1%.
This is a harmonious blend of the peaty character of Islay single malt whisky and the sweet and vanilla notes of the bourbon cask. This Caol Ila was bottled by Signatory Vintage at a cask strength of 57.1% after 14 years of maturation in a bourbon cask.
In 1972, a new Glendullan distillery was built next to the old one from 1898. The spirit from both distilleries was mixed before being vatted until the old one closed in 1985. This Rare Malts bottle is an old/new mixed single malt whisky. (26 years, 56.6%
In 1985, Highland distillery Glenury Royal closed permanently. Before and after, relatively few bottlings of their single malt whisky were released, but they almost always scored very high. This also applies to this 29-year-old Rare Malts edition. (57%)
Next to Highland distillery Glen Ord there is a malting house for regional barley. This supplies the malt from which the Glen Ord single malt whisky is distilled. In 1997, a 23-year-old bottling of that whisky appeared in the Rare Malts Selection. (59.8%)
New bottlings of Glen Albyn single malt whisky, the distillery of which closed in 1983, will hardly be released anymore. That's why this 26-year-old Rare Malts bottling from 2002 is worth attention alone. A Highlander with a character of its own. (54.8%)
The name Coleburn, in relation to single malt whisky, no longer means much to many people. The Speyside Distillery closed in 1985 and there have never appeared many bottlings of their whisky. That makes this 21-year-old Rare Malts edition unique! (59.4%)
You can find distillery bottlings of Cardhu single malt whisky in most liquor stores, but bottlings like this... This is a real collector's item: the Speysider was vatted in 1973. After 27 years of maturation, it was bottled at a cask strength of 60.2%.
Attention! The Inaugural Bottling of the young, artisanal Strathearn Distillery, owned by Douglas Laing. The small Highland distillery distils its whisky from an old type of barley malt with a lot of flavour. This Inaugural matured in 3 types of cask. 50%
The young Speyside distillery Ballindalloch bottled this over 8-year-old Vintage single malt whisky in a small edition, especially for the Benelux. It matured in bourbon and sherry casks and was bottled at 48.5%. A great option to get to know this newby!
Aultmore, like other Speyside distilleries, mainly supplies its malt whisky to the blending industry. Fortunately, independent bottlers always ensure that we can taste Aultmore's single malt. This bottling is 10 years old and bourbon-matured. (46%)
