In their long-named bottling series, James Eadie releases affordable whiskies from Scottish and Irish distilleries. This is a Linkwood, a single malt from the Speyside, Scotland. It matured for 14 years in a re-charred bourbon cask. (52.4% ABV)
In the Distilleries of Great Britain & Ireland Commemorative series, James Eadie has released an 11-year-old Craigellachie, matured in an Amontillado cask. A pleasantly drinkable, affordable Speyside single malt whisky bottled at 52.3% ABV cask strength.
Scottish bottler Limited Whisky isn't around for very long, but it has already released several promising bottlings. This is another one! It's a Ben Nevis that matured for 24 years in a bourbon cask. The Highland single malt whisky is bottled at 45% ABV.
This Ben Nevis was distilled in 2000 and matured for over 22 years in a bourbon cask before being bottled by Limited Whisky. A classic single malt Scotch whisky with notes of sweet oak, grapefruit, honey, and pear drops. (46.2% ABV)
A fine example of what Glendronach is famous for: sherried whiskies. Let this 12-year-old 'breathe' for a few minutes, and then taste the nice balance between the spirit and the PX and oloroso casks on which it matured. For a reasonable price. At 43%.
This 2025 release of a Glenturret standard bottling matured for 12 years in sherried European and American oak casks. This produces a creamy, full-bodied single malt whisky with notes like raisins, sultanas, ginger, vanilla, cinnamon, and oak. (46% ABV)
The Solist bottlings from Taiwan's Kavalan distillery are single-cask bottlings at cask strength. Several thousand bottlings in this series have been released, matured in various types of casks. This release matured for 12 years in a port cask. (57.1%)
This is one of the many single-cask, cask-strength bottlings for which Taiwanese Kavalan is known. It matured for 7 years in a bourbon cask. That doesn't seem long, but due to the high temperatures in Taiwan, the single malt whisky is quite mature. (54%)
This single malt bottling from the renowned Taiwanese brand Kavalan matured in first-fill bourbon casks and is bottled at 46% ABV. In addition to its distillery profile, this pleasantly drinkable malt has distinct notes of honey and vanilla.
In 2016, the Wakatsuru Saburomaru Distillery, one of Japan's oldest distilleries, was renovated, including the installation of unique stills. Since then, the whisky has become increasingly popular. This is a blend based on their peated single malt. (48%)
This is a bottle from the 42nd bottling from the classic A'bunadh series from Speyside distillery Aberlour. The A'bunadh series is seen as an example of well-sherried single malt whisky. This batch 42 was released in 2012, at a cask strength of 60.3%.
This Macallan single malt was, in 2007, the 115th whisky registered in the Whiskybase (now there are around 280,000). This classic Speysider matured for 12 years in select sherry casks. For those who appreciate history and a well-sherried dram. (40% ABV)
This is another exceptional Symington's Choice from bottler Signatory Vintage: a Laphroaig single malt that matured for 25 years in an Oloroso sherry cask. A powerful, complex and perfectly balanced whisky, still quite smoky despite its age. (54.5% ABV)
The Bladnoch Distillery presents in its new Galloway Collection a double-matured version of its single malt whisky, matured for 8 years in American oak red wine casks. Strawberry, jam, and spicy notes are Bladnoch's own keywords for the taste. (46.7%)
For an excellent price, you can get all five Campbeltown single malt whiskies together in one bottle: Springbank, Hazelburn, Longrow, Glen Scotia and Kilkerran! The blend matured in bourbon and sherry casks, resulting in a mild, creamy and rich dram. 46%
This Springbank is actually too good to be a collector's item, but of course it is: the old-school single malt whisky, vintage 1969, was bottled at a cask strength of 52.8% by Signatory Vintage in 1996 after having matured for 26 years in a sherry cask.
