The twelfth Lagavulin bottling in Elixir Distillers’ Elements of Islay series was released in 2022. The single malt whisky was matured in ex-bourbon casks and bottled at 55.4% cask strength. It has received a score of 88 points on Whiskybase so far.
The eighth Caol Ila bottling in Elixir Distillers’ Elements of Islay series was released in 2017. The single malt whisky was matured in five bourbon casks and bottled at 55.2% cask strength. It has received a score of about 86 points on Whiskybase so far.

The barley malt from which this single malt whisky is distilled was, typical of Thy, dried over beech wood fire. This gives the whisky characteristic smoky notes that complement the influence of the PX and Oloroso casks in which it matured. (49.5%)

The 'Double Barrel' on the label of this Irish Whiskey from Glendalough indicates that this blend of their own malt and grain whisky was first matured in bourbon casks and then in carefully selected Oloroso sherry casks. Bottled at cask strength (61.3%)
The young Irish distillery Glendalough sometimes finishes its whisky in exceptional casks. They also did this with this 7-year-old single malt whisky. After maturing in bourbon casks, it was finished in Japanese Mizunara casks that give extra depth. (46%)
Compass Box calls this bottling 'our majestic king'. Matured in sherry and red wine casks, the whisky got a crimson colour. King Crimson. In addition to the colour, the casks also gave the blend intense notes of chocolate, plum jam and red currant. (46%)
That Compass Box is a specialist in the inventive blending of Scotch whisky is also made clear with this edition in their Core Collection. The Nectarosity is a blend of malt and grain whiskies with a wealth of honey, fruit and toasted oak notes. 46%
Don't be put off by the nasty monster on the label! For this Peat Monster, Compass Box brought together a range of peated, bourbon-matured malt whiskies, from those with a sweet smoke to those with heavy peat tones. A blended malt for a great price! (46%)

Loch Lomond's Inchmurrin single malt whisky is unique because it's distilled using the Loch Lomond straight-neck pot stills. This 12-year-old Intense Orchard Fruit is even more unique in that it's matured in 3 different types of American oak casks. (46%)
This is a 9-year-old Caol Ila, one of those classic peated Islay single malt whiskies. Bottler James Eadie is dedicated to finishing whisky, and that's what he did with this malt: 7 months in a first-fill Amontillado cask. (bottled at 54.9% cask strength)
A 10-year-old Ben Nevis at cask strength for this price... you don't want to miss out on such an opportunity, do you? The Highland single malt whisky bottled by James Eadie is finished for 22 months in a refill Oloroso sherry cask and bottled at 58.9%.
James Eadie often finds unusual casks for finishing single malt whisky. For example, this Benrinnes matured for 28 months of its 15 years in a 1st-fill Bual Madeira cask. There are notes like honey, figs, raisins, strawberries, walnuts and baklava. 54.5%
For a great price/quality ratio, you can definitely go to the 100 Proof series from Signatory Vintage. This is edition 24 in that series. It is an 8-year-old Miltonduff single malt whisky that matured in firs-fill bourbon casks. It is bottled at 57.1%.
The single malt whisky from Speyside distillery Linkwood is well appreciated. That will certainly also apply to this nicely priced Small Batch bottling from James Eadie. The 11-yea- old whisky matured in re-charred bourbon casks. It is bottled at 46%.
Bottler James Eadie released this 12-year-old Mannochmore in their Small Batch series. The Speyside single malt whisky matured in two casks: a 1st-fill bourbon hogshead and a re-charred butt. After blending, the whisky was bottled at 46% ABV.
The title Traditional of this Ben Nevis bottling refers to the times when single malt whisky was only distilled from peated barley malt. Hence, the Peated Malt on the label. You could, therefore, call this smoky and peaty whisky a classic Ben Nevis. (46%)
In 2015, this 10-year-old Evan Williams single cask bottling was released in the Single Barrel Vintage series. A classic Kentucky straight bourbon whiskey with the characteristic influence of the charred American oak cask in which it matured. (43.3%)
Bottler Van Wees was able to get a batch of casks filled with Staoisha, the peated Bunnahabhain single malt whisky. This Staoisha bottling comes out in The Ultimate - Cask Strength series. 8 years old and matured in a re-charred bourbon cask. (58.3%)
And yet another strongly sherried Edradour single malt whisky from bottler Van Wees. And again in their Cask Strength series. This malt from the Southern Highlands aged for 9 years in an active sherry cask and is bottled at 58.7%.
Tullibardine Distillery has been around for three-quarters of a century but has only been running at full capacity since 2008, including its own bottlings. But this is a Van Wees bottling. The single malt whisky aged for 15 years in a bourbon cask. (46%)
