Bushmills, the world's oldest licensed distillery, released this Three Woods in 2023. The 21-year-old Irish single malt whisky matured in three types of casks: 18 years in bourbon and oloroso casks, and then another 3 years in marsala casks. (46%)
The Limestone Branch Distillery distils bourbon whisky in the traditional way. In their Special Finishes Collection, they release bourbon with, as the name suggests, a special finish. For this edition, the bourbon was finished with toasted staves. (50%)
This Kentucky straight bourbon whiskey is distilled according to old traditions by two descendants of the Beam family. This 6-year-old Yellowstone matured in American white oak casks and was bottled at 53.5% to achieve a perfect bourbon flavour profile.
The Ardbeg Ten is one of those classic drams that really shouldn't be missing from your cabinet. This is a bottle from a 2013 bottling. A great opportunity to compare this older edition of the standard single malt whisky with the Ardbeg Ten of today. 46%
This Turntable blend was created in collaboration with the Indian Amrut. Consequently, the blend makes up 36% of a bourbon-aged Amrut single malt. Additionally, there is a Benriach malt (25%), a Tamdhu malt (23%), and Cameronbridge grain (16%). (53% ABV)
A 35-year-old Burnside (or let's say Balvenie, with at most a teaspoon of Glefiddich)! You don't see those often, but here is one: it is a bottling from the German Spheric Spirits of a Burnside, vintage 1989, bourbon-aged and bottled at 52% ABV.
The German company Spheric Spirits works in various projects related to spirits, such as the 'bottling of special whisky' project. In that project, they released this 37 (!) year old Strathmill single malt whisky that matured in a bourbon cask. (47.6%)
In 2025, the Belgian Brachadair bottled this single malt whisky from the more than two-century-old Royal Brackla Distillery that became a purveyor to the Royal Court in 1835. The Highland malt matured for 15 years in a tawny port barrique. (46.1% ABV)
An edition in Glenallachie's Spirit of Speyside series. It is a bottling of single malt whisky that matured for 10 years in an Oloroso sherry cask. Raisins, cinnamon, mocha, cocoa, maraschino cherries, candied ginger, heather honey and much more! (56.3%)
In 2018, The Clydeside Distillery opened its doors in Glasgow. In 2024, they released this single malt whisky that had matured for 6 years in oloroso casks. For a very reasonable price, you get a pleasantly sherried, Lowland-style whisky. (46%)
The artisanal Clydeside Distillery in Glasgow distils with peated malt for only two weeks a year. Naturally, this results in a single malt whisky with peaty and smoky notes: the Fortnight, a whisky with excellent value for money! (46% ABV)

The Wolfburn Small Batch Release 416 is a single malt whisky that matured for 10 years in authentic ruby port casks. This resulted in a whisky with an intense flavour profile: dried fruit, raisins, sea salt, caramel, dates, figs and mild smoke. (46%)
In 2013, the distillery produced its first spirit. By now, Wolfburn is an established name in the whisky world. This is a bottling of their single malt whisky that matured for 8 years in 'quarter' casks (more intense cask influence). Lightly smoky. (46%)
Bottler Maltbarn often manages to track down exceptional casks. This bottling in the Planets series proves that once again. It is a BenRiach single malt whisky that matured in a sherry cask for 31 years! The Speysider is bottled at 49.6% cask strength.
Since its founding in 2012, Maltbarn has built a good reputation as a bottler. With the new Fractals bottling series, quality is once again the top priority. This 12-year-old, bourbon-aged Staoisha (peated Bunnahabhain) was released in that series. 53.3%
This 14-year-old Craigellachie appeared in Càrn Mòr's Strictly Limited series. Although the distillery is in production since the late 19th century, its whisky is only now gaining more recognition. This release matured in a fino sherry cask. (47.5%)
In any case, this Islay Connection blended malt from North Star Spirits contains single malts from Bowmore and Bruichladdich. The bottler indicates that other Islay malts have also been blended in, but which ones? The youngest malt is 10 years old. 50.4%
To celebrate their 10th anniversary, bottler North Star Spirits is releasing, among others, this 19-year-old Glenxxxxxxx (read 'farclas' for xxxxxxx), matured in a refill sherry cask. The Speyside single malt whisky was bottled in February 2026 at 59.0%.
You don't see that very often: an Irish single grain whisky finished in Rioja wine casks. But here, Teeling Whiskey Distillery presents one in their Small Batch series as Sommelier Selection 7. A pleasant, full-bodied grain whisky at a great price! (46%)
This blended malt whisky is not called The Six Isles for nothing: it is a blend of single malts from the islands of Islay, Jura, Skye, Mull, Orkney, and Arran. Bottler Ian Macleod releases (or released?) Six Isles bottlings irregularly. (bottled 2011, 43%
An exemplary bourbon at a great price. We are talking about this Jim Beam Black. The Black editions of this well-known bourbon label matured extra long (8 years) in charred oak barrels. The distillery has stopped producing the Black editions, so...(43%)
Allt-á-Bhainne Distillery was established as a malt whisky supplier for Chivas Regal, among others. Almost all single malt bottlings come from independent producers, such as this 20-year-old from Infrequent Flyers. Finished in an Italian wine cask. 59.1%
Inchfad is a peated single malt whisky from the Loch Lomond Distillery. The whisky in this Infrequent Flyers bottling matured for more than half of its 9 years in a virgin oak cask. This gives this youthful dram a full and intense character. (58.5% ABV)
