The distillery behind this 21-year-old, bourbon-matured single malt whisky was previously shrouded in mystery, but we now have reliable information that it's whisky from the Isle of Jura Distillery. It's certainly a fine, full-bodied dram! (54.5% ABV)
The Linkwood distillery is known for its elegant, fruity single malt whisky, and this is evident in this 15-year bourbon-cask-matured Chorlton Whisky bottling. Apple, peach, and other fruit notes are present, and also waxy notes and buttery biscuit. 57.5%
Auchroisk was founded in the 1970s to supply single malt to the blending industry. Fortunately, every now and then, bottlings of this Speyside malt escape that fate, so we can sample it. For example, this 14-year-old, Oloroso-matured edition. (58.4%)
The Bruichladdich Distillery on the Isle of Islay is there for some time, but it wasn't until the early 2000s that it gained its own distinct character and high regard. This single malt, bottled by Chorlton, matured for 22 years in a bourbon cask. (56.7%)
For a very reasonable price, Chorlton Whisky is releasing a 15-year-old Ledaig, the characteristically peated single malt whisky from Tobermory Distillery on the Isle of Mull. The malt matured in a bourbon cask, with 221 bottles released at 54.5%.
In 2017, Annabel Thomas opened the Nc'Nean Distillery on a remote peninsula off the Scottish coast, with the goal of distilling a sustainable, flavourful single malt whisky. Chorlton Whisky released this example: 7 years old, bourbon-matured, 57.9% ABV.
This single malt, released by Chorlton Whisky, is a typical Caol Ila, with its mild peat smoke and maritime notes and beautifully balanced cask influences and alcohol. This Islay whisky matured for 18 years in a bourbon hogshead and is bottled at 50.7%.
Ben Nevis is a household name in the whisky world, and rightly so! For two centuries, the distillery at the foot of Ben Nevis has been producing a fine Highland single malt. This release from Chrolton Whisky matured for 14 years in a bourbon cask. (53.1%)
The colourful labels of Chorlton Whisky's bottlings are certainly impressive, but so is the quality. Here's a 13-year-old single malt whisky from the lesser-known Highland distillery Tullibardine. A great bottle to try to get to know this malt! 52.2% ABV
Chorlton Whisky is a Manchester-based bottler, founded in 2016. Chorlton bottlings generally receive high ratings. This Glen Garioch could well be one of them. The single malt matured for 13 years in a bourbon cask. For a nice price! (50.2% ABV)
Featuring yet another beautiful medieval illustration on the label, Chorlton Whisky releases this 16-year-old Balbrlair. This single malt from the Highland distillery, founded in 1790, has been bottled at 55.8% after maturation in a bourbon cask.
With the Revival bottlings, Highland Distillery Glenglassaugh celebrates its reopening in 2008 after closing in 1986. This bottling matured in bourbon and red wine casks. Young yet complex, with notes of white grapes, dried fruit, honey, and hay. (46%)
Exclusive to Travelers, says the label of this 12-Year-Old Laphroaig, but it's also available in our shop. This classic, heavily peated, bourbon-matured Islay single malt whisky is even more intense than the standard 10-Year-Old bottling. (46%)
A fine bottle to introduce you to the single malt whisky from Kanusoke Distillery, established in Japan in 2018. This release is unique because, in addition to American oak casks, it was also matured in casks containing the Japanese spirit shochu. (48%)
This pot-still whisky is distilled by the young Japanese Hioki Distillery, owned by family of the owners of the nearby Kanusoke single malt distillery. The pot-still whisky is made from 90% unmalted barley and only 10% malted barley. Remarkable! (51%)
This single malt whisky comes from the Macduff Distillery, located on the border between Speyside and the Highlands. After 11 years of maturation in refill bourbon casks, the fresh, fruity dram was bottled in a small batch by Elixir Distillers. (48%)
This 1770 Glasgow bottling is called The Original, and it's batch two in the Fresh & Fruity-Cask Strength series. The Glasgow single malt whisky matured in first-fill bourbon casks and finished in virgin oak casks. This is reflected in the flavour. (59.5%
Malts of Scotland, a respected bottler, released this approximately 12-year-old Mannochmore single malt whisky in 2022. Not complex, but balanced and intense, with beautifully varied fruit notes, honey, vanilla, blossom, toffee, and ginger. (55.5%)
This Glenmorangie Companta of unknown age matured in exclusive French wine casks and was bottled in 2014. A fine example of the experimental side of the distillery, which was one of the first to finish whisky in other casks than it matured in. (46%)
This Talisker was released in 2005 in a 1-litre bottle after 14 years of double-maturation in sherry casks. This peated single malt from the Isle of Skye is a pleasantly drinkable whisky with a beautifully balanced (Amoroso) sherry influence. (45.8% ABV)
According to some, this Smokehead Islay single malt whisky is young Caol Ila finished in Ardbeg casks. Perhaps. In any case, this is a beautiful, uncomplicated and pleasantly drinkable dram for the smoky whisky lover. At 40%.
This one-litre bottle gives you a generous dose of Glenfarclas for a very reasonable price. This Speyside single malt was bottled for sale at airports, but we also stock it in our shop. The whisky matured for 11 years in sherry casks. Bottled at 46% ABV.
Bottled in 2025 for Travel Retail Exclusive, but also available for purchase here: An exemplary Glenfarclas single malt. The Speysider matured for 16 years in sherry casks, revealing clear notes of caramel, red fruit, toffee, and berry jam. (40% ABV)
Decadent Drinks presents an exemplary 12-year-old Ben Nevis single malt whisky, matured in a first-fill bourbon cask. It's a full-bodied, waxy dram with a diverse range of flavours, from lemon to barley porridge, and from menthol to jute. (53% ABV)
