Cambus's turbulent history as a grain distillery dates back to 1836 and ended with its closure in 1993. Fortunately, bottlings of this single-grain whisky are still being released, such as this Fragrant Drops. (40 years old, sherry-matured, 45.6% ABV)
This Fragrant Drops bottling, naturally bearing an etched-like label, is a 12-year-old Balblair single malt whisky. The Highlander has been finished for a full three years in a Sauternes wine barrique and is bottled at 58.2% cask strength in 274 bottles.
Dailuaine is a Speyside distillery whose single malt whisky isn't very well-known because most of it disappears in blended whisky. Fortunately, there are bottlings like this Fragrant Drops! This 10-year-old malt is finished in a tequila cask. (58.9% ABV)

In the Ardbeg Anthology series, the Islay distillery releases bottlings with a distinctive yet distinctly Ardbeg flavour profile. This The Beithir's Tale edition matured for 15 years in heavily toasted and then lightly charred bourbon casks. (46%)
With this bottling, Signatory Vintage presents an excellent example of the quality of Auchroisk single malt whisky. This 13-year-old Speysider matured in first-fill Amarone and refill hogsheads. Bottled at 57.1% ABV (100 proof) and affordably priced!
More and more people are discovering the very favourable price/quality ratio of Signatory Vintage's 100 Proof series. A fine example is this 12-year-old Mortlach bottling that matured in Oloroso sherry casks and (of course) is bottled at 57.1%.
This Macduff single malt whisky matured for 13 years in high-quality first-fill and refill oloroso sherry casks, and you can taste that! The bottling was released by Signatory Vintage in their 100 Proof series, so it's also competitively priced! (57.1%)
This is the 3rd edition in Bowmore's Aston Martin Masters' Selection series, the result of a collaboration between the Islay distillery and the renowned car manufacturer. The single malt whisky matured for 22 years in American oak and Oloroso casks. 51.4%
To celebrate its eighth anniversary, the Belgian distillery De Molenberg, known for its Gouden Carolus whisky bottlings, released this Bajan in 2021. The single malt whisky matured for 5 years in Barbados rum casks and is bottled at 46% ABV.
We've received new bottlings from Cadenhead's Original Collection, and this Craigellachie is one of them. This single malt whisky from the Speyside distillery, which has been in business for over 130 years, matured for 18 years in Oloroso casks. (46% ABV)
A 16-year-old Highland single malt whisky matured in manzanilla sherry casks at a very attractive price. That's this Tomatin bottling from Cadenhead in their renowned Original Collection with its distinctive bottles, released in 2025. (46% ABV)
In 1975, the spirit for this Ardbeg was vatted, to be released 25 years later, in 2000, as an exemplary old-style Islay single malt whisky. An oily, full-bodied, complex, and delicate dram with relatively mild peat smoke notes due to its age. (43% ABV)
This Torabhaig single malt is one of the first independent bottlings from the young Skye-based distillery, bottled by newcomer Living Souls. The whisky matured for 7 years in bourbon casks. Bonfire smoke, orchard fruit, and maritime notes. (51.5% ABV)
Living Souls entered the whisky market in 2024. Until now, they primarily bottled blended Scotch whiskies, but they also release single malts and, like this Williamson, blended malts. The 'teaspooned' Laphroaig matured for 13 years in a bourbon cask. 46%
Taiwan's Yuan Shan Distillery makes single malt whisky under the Kavalan brand. Especially known are the Soloist single-cask bottlings of which several thousand are already released. This Soloist aged in an Oloroso sherry cask. (54.8% ABV)
Bottled in 2021 by The Whisky Blues, this Teaninich is a fresh, fruity single malt whisky. Notes of pineapple, tropical fruit, citrus, and green apple (next to chocolate, spices, and nuts). The malt matured for 13 years in a bourbon cask. (53.6%)
This 26-year-old Braes of Glenlivet (also called Braeval) was released in 2021 behind a whimsical label, as a bottling of the Taiwanese The Whisky Blues. The Speyside single malt whisky matured in a barrel and is bottled at 51.1% cask strength.
In 2012, this Springbank was released in the Raw Cask series from no-nonsense bottler Blackadder. The single malt whisky aged in a bourbon cask and was bottled at a cask strength of 58.2%. The character of this renowned Campbeltonian is clearly present.
Under the name Cadenhead's World Whiskies, the bottler, as the name suggests, releases whiskies other than Scotch. In 2019, this bourbon from the Heaven Hill Distillery in Kentucky was released. The whisky matured for 10 years and is bottled at 66.4% (!).
With a bit of goodwill, you could call Lindores the oldest Scotch whisky brand, but it's only after centuries that Lindores single malt whisky was released again, since 2021. This Friar John Cor - Chapter III matured in bourbon and sherry casks. (60.2%)
Under the Old Perth label, Morrison Scotch Whisky Distillers release sherried blended malt whiskies, like this one in 2025. The blend of Scotch malts matured in different kinds of Amontillado casks and is bottled in a limited edition at 55.8% ABV.
This special bottling, released for Springbank's Virtual Open Day 2020, scored an impressive 91 points on Whiskybase. The Campbeltown single malt whisky matured for 26 years in two refill bourbon casks, yielding a total of 432 bottles at 51.1% ABV.
This bottle was hand-filled in 2014 by a visitor to Islay distillery Bowmore. A truly unique bottle! The single malt whisky comes, at cask strength (49.4%) of course, from a first-fill Oloroso sherry cask in which it matured for 18 years. (Rating: 90.78)
