This bottle was hand-filled in 2014 by a visitor to Islay distillery Bowmore. A truly unique bottle! The single malt whisky comes, at cask strength (49.4%) of course, from a first-fill Oloroso sherry cask in which it matured for 18 years. (Rating: 90.78)
Although the BenRiach Distillery has been around for over 125 years, the history of the single malt whisky only truly began after a change of ownership in 2004. The spirit for this Moscatel-finished edition was casked well before that, in 1978. 35y, 51.1%
Bottler Douglas Laing has been in business since 1948 and has built a rock-solid reputation with over 5,300 bottlings. One of those thousands of bottlings was this 11-year-old, bourbon-cask-matured Ben Nevis single malt whisky in 2009.
The malt whisky produced by Glenlossie Distillery is ideal for blending, but bottlings like this one prove that the single malt whisky is also quite good on its own. The 16-year-old malt is finished for about one and a half years in a PX cask. (54.7%)
Since 2021, the Keeble Cask Company in Edinburgh has been active as a cask broker and bottler. In 2025, they released this 50-year-old Invergordon single grain whisky. The grain first matured in a refill and then in a first-fill bourbon cask. (46% ABV)
Aberlour is best known for its sherried single malts, but their bourbon-aged whisky is also quite something. Archives has already proven this with previous bottlings of this Speysider, and now again with this 16-year-old bottling at 55.5% cask strength.
With this bottling, the third in their Harmony Collection, Macallan aims to celebrate Scotland's natural beauty, and specifically its meadows. See the back label. The single malt whisky, bottled in 2023, matured in sherried and bourbon casks. (44.2%)

In 2015, it was 200 years ago that Laphroaig opened its doors. To celebrate, the distillery released The 1815 Legacy Edition, as a Travel Retail Exclusive. A true Laphroaig single malt whisky with distinct smoky and medicinal notes, among many more. (48%)
Perhaps the humorous text on the front and back labels holds hints as to which single malt whisky is behind the name Glenlitigious. It's certainly a Speysider that matured for 12 years in a second-fill sherry cask. (Bottled by Decadent Drinks at 50.0%)
The Tobermory Distillery on the Isle of Mull distilled the spirit for this single malt whisky in 2008, which, 15 years later, after maturing in a bourbon cask, was bottled by Douglas Laing in the Old Particular series. A dram like warm fruit pastry. 48.4%
A true Laphroaig, this 12-year-old single malt. Medicinal notes juxtapose sweet, salty, and tarry notes with ash and smoked barley. This Islay malt was bottled by Douglas Laing in 2025 at 48.4% ABV after having matured in a refill bourbon cask.
Douglas Laing's Old Particular series is well-known among whisky enthusiasts. This Glen Moray single malt was released in this series after 15 years of bourbon cask maturation. Buttery, spicy, tangerine and custard are just some of its notes. (48.4%)
Macallan is perhaps the best-known producer of sherried single malt whisky. However, this 15-year-old malt is not 100% sherried: the whisky matured in sherried casks of both American and European oak, as well as ex-bourbon casks. (43% ABV)
Around 2011, Speciality Drinks bottled a 19-year-old Islay single malt whisky under the Port Askaig label. It was supposedly a Caol Ila. This complex dram naturally features peat and smoky notes, as well as maritime, sweet, and meaty notes. (45.8% ABV)
Fifteen years ago, renowned bottler Alambic Classique released this Longmorn single malt whisky. The highly regarded Speysider matured for 11 years in a refill bourbon cask and was released in 155 bottles at a cask strength of 51.8% ABV.
Morven is Wolfburn's lightly peated standard bottling. Smoke is therefore present on the palette, along with notes of caramel, malt, hay, and nuts, and finally, fruit. This 350ml bottle is the perfect way to try this modestly smoky single malt! (46%)
Not as well-known as that other single malt whisky from Orkney, but definitely worth a try, as this Scapa bottling proves. The malt matured for 16 years in American oak casks, resulting in a rich dram with a vibrant and fruity profile. (48%)
Sound of Sleat (a bay off the Isle of Skye) is the title of Chapter 4 in the Torabhaig Distillery's Legacy Series, subtitled Smoke & Taste. A peated single malt whisky that matured in virgin American oak and bourbon casks. A light, fruity, peaty dram. 46%
