Laphroaig Lp6 Elements of Islay

The sixth Laphroaig bottling in Speciality Drinks’ Elements of Islay series was released in 2015. The single malt whisky matured in four bourbon casks and is bottled at 51.3% cask strength. It has a score of 88.5 points on Whiskybase so far.

Laphroaig Quarter Cask

The smaller the casks, the greater the influence of the wood. That is certainly the case with this Laphroaig which has been finished on small quarter casks. This yields a nice, full and complex dram, with the famous 'smoke and peat' from Laphroaig.

Laphroaig Select

The Laphroaig Select is a lighter, softer single malt whisky than other Laphroaigs. By finishing on American new oak, there is a bit more sweetness and vanilla than, for example, in the Laphroaig 10. The Select is therefore a great entry-level Laphroaig!

Ledaig 10-year-old

The peated standard bottling of the Tobermory distillery. If you like peated and want something different than the well-known Islay whiskies, try this Ledaig 10 that matured in bourbon cask. You will smell a farmyard. And smoke of course! At 46.3%.

Ledaig 18-year-old

Ledaig single malt whisky is the peated version of the whisky distilled by the Tobermory Distillery. Ledaig is known for its earthy, farm-like tones. Those notes are also reflected in this bottling, which is extra complex due to 18 years of maturation.

Ledaig Rioja Cask Finish

The Tobermory Distillery, one of the oldest distilleries in Scotland, also produces peated single malt whisky. This Ledaig (the peated Tobermory) is finished in Rioja casks. (46.3%)

Ledaig Single Malt - bottled in 2005

The label explains how to pronounce the name of this single malt whisky and that the name means Safe Haven. Ledaig is the peated variety from the Tobermory Distillery on Mull. This is a bottling from 2006, clearly different from the Ledaig of today. (42%)

Lindores Abbey Friar John Cor - Congregation Chapter II

With a little fantasy you could call Lindores the oldest Scotch whisky brand, but it is only after centuries that single malt whisky is released again under the Lindores brand: since 2021. This Friar John Cor matured in peated rum and other casks. (60.9%)

Lindores Abbey Thiron

This is the first bottling from Lindores Abbey to celebrate the historic links with the French abbey in Thiron-Gardais. This single malt whisky matured in bourbon and red wine casks, as well as in new oak casks from trees around the abbey. (49.4%)

Linkwood 15-year-old Gordon & MacPhail

The label shows that this is an older bottling from Gordon & MacPhail, but we don't know precisely from when. What we do know is that it is a Linkwood single malt whisky and that it has matured for 15 years. Now this will be a unique bottle. (40%)

Linkwood 2012 Signatory Vintage - Cask 306252

Most of the malt whisky that Speyside distillery Linkwood produces ends up in blends such as Johnnie Walker and White Horse. Fortunately, there are also single malt bottlings like this one from Signatory: 11 years old, bourbon matured and at 60.2%.

Linkwood 2013 James Eadie

The single malt whisky from Speyside distillery Linkwood is well appreciated. That will certainly also apply to this nicely priced Small Batch bottling from James Eadie. The 11-yea- old whisky matured in re-charred bourbon casks. It is bottled at 46%.

Littlemill 1990 Berry Bros & Rudd

A Littlemill single malt whisky where the emphasis is more on the wood than on the fruity notes. In this way this 22-year-old bottling by Berry Bros & Rudd shows us a different, surprising side of this Lowlander. Bottled in 2013, at 46%.

Littlemill 1990 Malts of Scotland

The longer the distillery was closed, the fewer Littlemill bottlings hit the market. We now have a bottle of a Malts of Scotland bottling from 2010. With its 20 years of aging in a bourbon cask, it is really something for the Littlemill enthusiast! 53.9%

Littlemill 1991 Douglas Laing

Bottler Douglas Laing's Old Malt Cask series is highly regarded. That's thanks to bottlings like this one. It is an 18 year old Littlemill single malt whisky that matured in a bourbon cask: sweet malt, citrus, toffee, trifle, vanilla and caramel. (50%)

Loch Lomond 12-year-old - Perfectly Balanced

A new look for this 12 year old Loch Lomond single malt whisky. It matured in 3 different types of bourbon cask (1st fill, refill and re-charred). That resulted in a dram with notes of peach, pear, sweet vanilla and a hint of peat smoke. 46%

Loch Lomond 18-year-old

Caramelised apple and wood smoke. According to the label, these are the characteristic flavors of this 18-year-old single malt whisky from the Loch Lomond Distillery. Distilled in the unique Loch Lomond stills and matured in American oak casks. (46% ABV)

Lochindaal 2010 Acorn

The Bruichladdich Distillery on Islay makes an unpeated single malt whisky under its own name. They also produce the heavily peated Port Charlotte and the very heavily peated Octomore. And Lochindaal, which is in between. This one is 10 years old. (63.3%)

Lochindaal Ln1 Elements of Islay

The first Lochindaal bottling in Speciality Drinks’ Elements of Islay series was released in 2016. The single malt whisky matured in first-fill bourbon casks, is bottled at 62.5% cask strength and awarded a Whiskybase score of a good 88 points.

Lochlea Harvest Edition - Second Crop

After the First Release in 2021, the Sowing Edition and the Harvest Edition No. 1, there is now the Harvest Second Edition from distillery Lochlea, a family business that makes single malt whisky from its own barley. Matured in bourbon, STR and port casks
