Single malt whisky is a mixture of malt whisky from casks of the same distillery. Malt whisky is made from barley malt and distilled in pot stills, and has matured for at least 3 years in oak barrels. This whisky usually has a for the distillery characteristic flavor. Is considered the classic whisky.

Inchmoan is a brand of the Loch Lomond Distillery, under which it releases a peated single malt whisky. This 'Rich Smoke and Spice' is a combination of spirit from the traditional pot still and the Loch Lomond still, aged for 12 years in bourbon casks.
Loch Lomond's Inchmurrin single malt whisky is unique because it's distilled using the Loch Lomond straight-neck pot stills. This 12-year-old Intense Orchard Fruit is even more unique in that it's matured in 3 different types of American oak casks. (46%)

In 2011, Whiskybase.com launched the bottling brand Archives. To date, Archives has released over 230 bottlings that have scored high on average, with 87.5 points. In 2016, this 43-year-old Invergordon single grain whisky came out. (49.9%, 88.7 points)
This single malt whisky was distilled in an (unnamed) Islay distillery, according to bottler Maltbarn. The whisky then matured for 24 years in a sherry cask and was bottled at 51.8%. Incidentally, the label features an image of the Laphroaig Distillery.

This pot-still whisky is distilled by the young Japanese Hioki Distillery, owned by family of the owners of the nearby Kanusoke single malt distillery. The pot-still whisky is made from 90% unmalted barley and only 10% malted barley. Remarkable! (51%)

This single malt bottling from the renowned Taiwanese brand Kavalan matured in first-fill bourbon casks and is bottled at 46% ABV. In addition to its distillery profile, this pleasantly drinkable malt has distinct notes of honey and vanilla.
And there it was, in 2008, Kavalan's first single malt whisky bottling. The distillery, opened in Taiwan in 2005, quickly became popular with its young, but thanks to the locally high temperatures, mature and flavourful whisky, often single cask. (40%)
The Solist bottlings from Taiwan's Kavalan distillery are single-cask bottlings at cask strength. Several thousand bottlings in this series have been released, matured in various types of casks. This release matured for 12 years in a port cask. (57.1%)
