Single malt whisky is a mixture of malt whisky from casks of the same distillery. Malt whisky is made from barley malt and distilled in pot stills, and has matured for at least 3 years in oak barrels. This whisky usually has a for the distillery characteristic flavor. At a time when whisky finishing was not yet as common as it is today, bottler Wilson & Morgan released this 16-year-old Longmorn single malt whisky, finished in a Cognac cask. A creamy, highly drinkable dram, bottled at 46% ABV.
Almost forgotten again: the Longrow 100 Proof bottlings from Campbeltown distillery Springbank. But here's one to refresh your memory. This 10-year-old peated single malt is, of course, bottled at 100 proof, so at 57.1% ABV.

For those looking for a classic, old school sherried whisky, this is a bottle to think about. It is a Macallan single malt whisky that came out quite a while ago already, after having matured for 12 years in carefully selected sherry casks. (40%).
Sometimes there are bottlings that are unjustly overlooked. This is one of them. This 12-year-old Macallan was bottled in 2010, but it didn't make it into the Whiskybase until 2022. This is your chance! (1000 ml, matured in select sherry casks, 40% ABV)
When you say Macallan, you say sherried whiskey. The distillery, which opened in Speyside in 1824, still mainly produces single malt whisky matured in sherry casks. Take this 12 year old edition: buttery, sweet, dark red fruit, tobacco...a pleasant dram.
Speyside Distillery Macallan is best known for its sherried single malt whisky. A fine example is this 18-year-old release in the Double Cask series from 2020, which matured in sherry casks of both European and American oak. (43% ABV)
Now here is a true collector's item! We have a Macallan single malt whisky here that was distilled in 1940 and—after 40 years of maturation— was bottled in 1981 for the Italian market, featuring a 'handwritten' label and a red ribbon draped across it. 43%
A small bottle with truly exceptional contents: 50 ml of a Macallan single malt whisky distilled in 1948! We do not know its maturation period or the type of cask used for this Speyside whisky, but one thing is certain: it is a unique gem! (46.6%)

Highlands distillery Macduff releases its own single malt whisky under the name Glen Deveron, but independent bottlers like Scout Drinks from Taiwan stick with Macduff. This one matured for 18 years in a bourbon cask and is bottled at 48.9% ABV.
This Macduff single malt whisky matured for 13 years in high-quality first-fill and refill oloroso sherry casks, and you can taste that! The bottling was released by Signatory Vintage in their 100 Proof series, so it's also competitively priced! (57.1%)
