Single malt whisky is a mixture of malt whisky from casks of the same distillery. Malt whisky is made from barley malt and distilled in pot stills, and has matured for at least 3 years in oak barrels. This whisky usually has a for the distillery characteristic flavor. This is an exclusive 2018 bottling for The Nectar (Belgium). It's a 10-year-old Longrow, the peated whisky version from Springbank Distillery. The single malt matured in a Sauternes cask. 'Earthy smoke and sweet wine', according to one taster. (56% ABV)
Almost forgotten again: the Longrow 100 Proof bottlings from Campbeltown distillery Springbank. But here's one to refresh your memory. This 10-year-old peated single malt is, of course, bottled at 100 proof, so at 57.1% ABV.

Under the name Longrow Springbank Distillery releases a peated malt. Smoke, peat, and malt are clearly present, and also salt, citrus and, for example, grass. And there is the influence of the bourbon and sherry casks in which this batch matured. (46%)
The Enigma bottlings from Cadenhead, as the name suggests, do not mention the distillery. With this edition, we have to make do with the knowledge that it is an 11-year-old, oloroso-matured Lowland single malt whisky at 57.5% ABV. For a nice price!
