Another Traveller's Exclusive from Highland distillery Pulteney. This time, a 13-year-old edition, matured in bourbon and sherry casks. The single malt whisky is bottled at 43% in 1 liter bottles. A fine whisky for a great price!

Old Pulteney 15-year-old

The Old Pulteney 15 is a core bottling of this Highland distillery. And rightly so: it is a beautiful, characterful, yet mild single malt whisky that double-matured on American and Spanish oak. Nose, taste and finish follow each other harmoniously. (46%)

Old Pulteney 16-year-old

The Maritime Malt says the label of the single malt whisky from the Pulteney Distillery. You can indeed detect a hint of sea air in this 16-year-old Old Pulteney. It matured in American and Spanish oak casks, and you can taste that too. (46%)

Old Pulteney 2007 Whisky AGE

The Pulteney Distillery in the Highlands releases many bottlings of their Old Pulteney single malt whisky; you don't see independent bottlings very often. But this is one: a 16-year-old malt matured in a bourbon barrel, bottled at 55.3% cask strength.

Old Pulteney 2008 Signatory Vintage - Cask 12

In their classic Cask Strength Collection bottling series, Signatory Vintage releases this 16-year-old Pulteney single malt whisky. Pulteney (or Old Pulteney) whisky is not often seen as an independent bottling. This sherry-aged one from SV is 56.4%.

Old Pulteney 21-year-old

This Highland single malt whisky matured in both bourbon and Fino sherry casks, a combination that works very well here. Bottled in 2013, the 21-year-old Old Pulteney has a complex palate with well-balanced notes from start to finish. Bottled at 46% ABV.

Orkney (HP) 2005 Signatory Vintage - Cask DRU17 A63#29

That Orkney 18 (HP) stands for an 18-year-old Highland Park will come as no surprise, and that this bottling from Signatory Vintage has a nice score is certainly no surprise either. The HP single malt whisky matured in a 1st-fill Oloroso cask. (55.0%)

Orkney 2002 Archives - 58.7%

We're not going to hide it: this is a Highland Park single malt whisky. Released by Archives for the 2017 Whiskybase Gathering after 15 years of maturation in a refill bourbon cask. A creamy dram with a hint of peat. A real HP. (58.7%)

Orkney 2003 Archives - 55.9%

This 'Orkney' single malt whisky was bottled in 2018 by Archives, especially for the American market. There, they will also know that an 'Orkney' whisky is Highland Park. The HP matured for 15 years in a bourbon cask. (55.9%, 750ml bottle content)

Orkney 2005 Signatory Vintage - Cask DRU17 A63#9

By putting HP in brackets on the label after 'Orkney 18', bottler Signatory Vintage gives a clear hint from which distillery this single malt whisky comes. The whisky from the Orkneys matured for 18 years in a 1st-fill Oloroso sherry cask. (55.8%)

Orkney 2006 Chapter 7

Orkney is not a whisky brand. If a bottler releases an edition with 'Orkney' in the name, it will be Highland Park single malt whisky from the distillery of the same name in the Orkneys. So this is a 16-year-old, bourbon cask-matured HP whisky. (54%)

Orkney 2014 Chapter 7

It will no longer be a secret that the name Orkney hides a Highland Park single malt whisky. This Chapter 7 bottling of the famous Island whisky is 8 years old. During that period it matured in a red wine cask. Bottled at a cask strength of 52.8%.

Paul John Christmas Edition 2020

Paul John is the brand under which the John Distilleries branch in Goa, India, releases single malt whisky. This is a bottling especially for Christmas 2020. The whisky matured in three types of casks: bourbon, oloroso-sherry and virgin oak. At 46%.

Paul John Nirvana - Batch No. 4

A great bottle to get acquainted with the Paul John single malt whisky from the Indian John Distilleries. The Nirvana takes you along the versatile Paul John spectrum of scents and flavors in the non-peated version. At 40% a dram for everyone.

Paul John Peated Select Cask 55.5%

100% peated, as the Indian John Distilleries says about the Paul John Peated single malt whisky. With 55.5% alcohol, this is a solid dram. John Distilleries has won a whole series of international whisky awards with a Peated from this series.

Penderyn Celt

The age of the Penderyn Celt single malt whisky from Wales is unknown, but it is young. We do know that it finished on Islay quarter casks (Laphroaig?). That gives a touch of smoke to the taste and finish of this otherwise light dram.

Penderyn Red Dragon Pack 3 x 20 cl

Penderyn, ever heard of it? This box is an introduction to this single malt whisky distillery that opened in Wales in 2004. Three single malts of which one finished in Madeira casks, one in red wine and the third is 'cask-peated'. 3 x 20 CL at 43%.

Penderyn Sherrywood

This edition of Penderyn Sherrywood single malt whisky aged on bourbon and on the special dry oloroso sherry casks. This combination of casks results in a beautifully balanced alternation of the fruity Penderyn notes with the sweet sherry notes. 46%.

Port Askaig 08-year-old

You will never know for sure which Islay single malt whisky a Port Askaig is, but with this 8-year-old dram you can taste that it is an Islay-peated whisky immediately. Despite its youth, it is quite complex, but very pleasant to drink. Bottled at 45.8%.

Port Charlotte 10-year-old

Port Charlotte has established itself this century among the big names in smoky Islay whiskies. It is one of two heavily peated single malt whiskies from the Bruichladdich distillery. And this is the 10-year-old standard PC, the 2020 release. (50%)

Port Charlotte 2001 Archives - 59.7%

In 2017, this Port Charlotte, one of Bruichladdich Distillery's heavily peated single malt whiskies, was bottled after 16 years of maturation in a bourbon cask. It was released in the Archives series The Fishes of Samoa, at 59.7% cask strength. (89 pts)

Port Charlotte 2002 Maltbarn

The label already gives it away: we are dealing with a single malt whisky that strikes like lightning! It is a 22-year-old Port Charlotte, the heavily peated malt from Islay distillery Bruichladdich. It matured in a bourbon cask and is bottled at 55.2%.

Port Charlotte Cask Exploration 13

With the Cask Exploration series, Bruichladdich Distillery experiments with the cask maturation of its peated Port Charlotte single malt whisky. This Valinch Smachd Air Caileachd edition aged for 12 years in a Monbazillac cask as well. (57.7%; score 88)
