Ruadh Mhor is the peated version of the single malt whisky from Glenturret distillery. This 15-year-old edition was finished in an Oloroso sherry cask by bottler Berry Bros & Rudd and released in their Crafted in Cask series at 55.5% cask strength.
Scapa is the lesser-known of the two Orkney single malt whiskies, and this is a good bottling to get acquainted with it. The whisky matured for 10 years in a small number of bourbon casks and is bottled at 48% ABV. For a reasonable price, it can be yours!

It's always a challenge to figure out which distillery a 'secret distillery' bottling comes from. We know this Fragrant Drops bottling is from Islay and that the single malt matured for 14 years in a refill sherry cask. Okay, let's try! (48.7%)
We've discovered that the single malt whisky in this Secret Lowland bottling of Fragrant Drops was distilled by InchDairnie Distillery, which launched in 2015. The malt matured for 6 years in a 'Super Tuscan' red wine cask, yielding 271 bottles at 57.6%.
Okay, from which of the 50 or so Speyside distilleries does this single malt whisky come? No idea. We do know that this malt aged for no less than 28 years in a bourbon cask, which means that the ABV percentage is almost at the critical limit: 40.1%!
It doesn't matter that the Speyside distillery has to remain a secret: the fact that the Thompson Brothers selected this single malt whisky gives us enough confidence. An excellent daily dram, matured for 11 years in 2 refill sherry casks. (48.5%)

Smokehead is a single malt whisky brand from bottler Ian Macleod. As with the previous Smokehead bottlings, this is an anonymous peated Islay whisky. Often the age of these bottlings is unknown, but this is a malt that matured for 15 years. (43% ABV)

Rumour has it that this single malt whisky, released by Sansibar in 2015, is a Macallan. In any case, it is a Speyside malt that went into the (sherry) cask in 1977 and was bottled 38 years later at 46.1%. It scores over 90 points on whiskybase.com.
It is unknown which distillery this Speyside Region single malt whisky from Archives comes from, but it is a 43 year old! The bottling was released in 2017 and now has a rating of over 91 points on Whiskybase. It's a super dram! (Bourbon matured, 46.5%)
