Tamdhu Batch Strength 008

We don't know how long this 8th batch of single malt whisky in Tamdhu's Batch Strength series aged on sherry casks. It seems to be a fairly young dram, uncomplicated and punchy. However, the sherry notes are clearly present. Bottled at 55.8% cask strength

Tamdhu Distinction #3

Quercus Alba is Latin for white oak, specifically the American white oak. Tamdhu Distillery matures almost all of its single malt whisky in ex-sherry casks. The same goes for this Distinction edition, but here on Oloroso casks of quercus alba wood. (48%)

Tamnavulin 14-year-old Cadenhead's

The Tamnavulin Distillery is one that was built to meet the demand from whisky blenders for single malt whisky. But apart from blends, you can also taste Tamnavulin 'pure', for example with bottlings like this 14-year-old one from Cadenhead. (46%)

Tamnavulin 2009 Sherwoods

Little is known about the Dutch bottler Sherwoods, except that it bottles standard at cask strength. We think this is its fourth bottling. It is a 13-year-old Tamnavulin single malt whisky at 57.6%, that matured in a bourbon hogshead. Curious?

Tamnavulin Double Cask

A good introduction to the single malt whisky from Speyside distillery Tamnavulin, this Double Cask edition. Certainly also considering the price. The whisky matured in bourbon casks and was finished in sherry casks. At 40% no powerhouse, but a light dram

Tamnavulin Sherry Cask Edition

Established in the last century as a supplier to the blended whisky industry, Speyside distillery Tamnavulin has already released quite a few single malt whisky bottlings. In early 2020, Tamnavulin released another batch in their Sherry Cask Edition. 40%

Tamnavulin Tempranillo Cask Edition

The Tamnavulin distillery was established in 1966 to supply single malt whisky for blends such as Whyte & Mackay. Since 1988, Tamnavulin has also been releasing distillery bottlings. Like this one. A single malt finished in red wine casks. (40%, 1 Ltr)

Teaninich 1973 Rare Malts Selection - bottle 3183

The bottlings in Diageo's Rare Malts Selection consistently scored well. This includes this bottling of a Teaninich single malt whisky that was released in 1997. The spirit for this whisky was distilled in 1973: a real 'old skool' Teaninich! (57.1% ABV)

Teaninich 2007 The House of MacDuff - Golden Cask

Young and powerful, that's this Teaninich single malt whisky in two words. The House of MacDuff bottled this malt at cask strength (62.3%) after 9 years of aging. Apart from independent bottlings like this, you won't find Teaninich whisky in the store.

Teaninich 2009 Gordon & MacPhail - Bottled for the Netherlands

Gordon & MacPhail bottled this Teaninich single malt whisky for the Dutch market. The Highland malt matured for 12 years in a large sherry cask and is bottled at cask strength. Notable notes include ginger and cinnamon, orange, strawberry and cocoa. 57.9%

Teeling 21-year-old - Rising Reserve No 1

To celebrate that Irish whiskey is on the rise again, the Teeling family is releasing a number of special single malt whiskies in the Rising Reserve series. The first in this series is a malt that first matured in bourbon and then in Carcavelos casks. 46%

Teeling Pineapple Rum Cask

A special bottling by Teeling. This is a blended whisky that, after 6 years of maturing in bourbon casks, matured for over a year in casks in which Pineapple Rum from Plantation previously matured. A unique finishing, in our opinion. Bottled at 49.2%.

Teeling Single Cask - Calvados Drouin Cask

Especially for the Dutch market (but with us available worldwide), the Irish Teeling bottled this single malt whisky in their Single Cask series that matured in a cask that previously housed award-winning calvados. Bottled at cask strength (60.7%).

Teeling Single Malt

The Irish Teeling Whiskey Company is also not afraid to mature its single malt whisky in less common casks. Teeling used both red port and Carcevelos White port casks to for the maturation of this bottling. The 13-year-old whisky was bottled at 49.5%.

The English Whisky 2008 Single Cask American Oak

The English Whisky 2012 Peated Virgin Oak Cask

Smokey Virgin, that is The English Whisky Company calls this single malt whisky that came out in their Small Batch Release series. And that is not for nothing. The whisky matured for 6 years in new (virgin) oak casks treated with peat smoke. (46%)

The Great Northern 05-year-old The Whisky Blues

You could call the Irish The Great Northern Distillery a contract distillery. They supply various types of whisky on order (including single malt, grain, pot still). The distillery produced this single malt for The Whisky Blues. 5 years old, 58.2%.

The Hearach Batch 10

Under the brand The Hearach, the young, artisanal The Isle of Harris Distillery on the Scottish island of the same name distils single malt whisky. This is Batch 10, their second bottling in 2024. The whisky aged in various bourbon and sherry casks. (46%)

The Ileach Cask Strength

This is a real 'value for money' bottle. The age is not known, but the taste is not too youthful. This edition of The Ileach single malt whisky is a cask strength bottling from an unnamed Islay distillery. Does it matter which one?

The Ileach - 40%

The Ileach is a great introduction to the world of peated Islay single malt whisky. We don't know which Islay single malt is in the bottle. But this uncomplicated dram makes it immediately clear to the beginner whether he likes Islay peat smoke or not.

The Lakes Equinox

This Equinox bottling in The Whiskymaker's Editions from the English The Lakes Distillery matured in Oloroso sherry and Muscatel casks. This gives the single malt whisky notes like apricot, sandalwood, apple and pear, orange blossom and sweet herbs. 46.6%

The Lakes Resfeber

'Resfeber' is the wave of emotions you feel at the start of a great journey. Does The Lakes Distillery refer to the feeling just before you open a bottle of this single malt whisky? The whisky matured in cream sherry and red wine casks. (46.6%)

The Singleton of Glen Ord 15-year-old - Diageo Special Releases 2022
