BenRiach has released a new core bottling: The Original Ten. This 10-year-old single malt whisky aged in 3 different casks, which mainly yields fruity notes (apple, pear, nectarine), but also vanilla, honey, sweet malt and a hint of smoke. Bottled at 43%.

BenRiach 10-year-old The Smoky Ten

A new smoky single malt whisky from the BenRiach Distillery. This The Smoky Ten matured for 10 years (naturally) in three types of casks: bourbon, rum and new oak. In addition to smoke, this malt also contains notes of summer-ripe fruit, pear and honey.

BenRiach 10-year-old Triple Distilled

BenRiach 1977 - Cask 9119 - Bottled for Asta Morris

In 2011 and 2012, the BenRiach distillery bottled a number of special casks of its single malt whisky especially for the Belgian Asta Morris. This edition, the 1977, matured for 33 years in a refill bourbon cask and was bottled at 45.7% cask strength.

BenRiach 1991 Berry Bros & Rudd

Berry Bros & Rudd managed to get hold of a cask of BenRiach single malt whisky from well before the brand's resurrection in 2004. The cask, a bourbon hogshead, yielded 254 bottles of an approximately 32-year-old, 48.3% strong BenRiach. Quite special!

BenRiach 2008 Berry Bros & Rudd

After a century of ownership changes and closures, the history of BenRiach only really started in 2004, with experimental lines such as Curiositas and Authenticus. However, this is a 'regular' BenRiach single malt: 13 years old, sherry-aged, and at 56.2%.

BenRiach Malting Season - First Edition

This is the first edition of the new Malting Season series from Speyside Distillery BenRiach. This single malt whisky is produced in the traditional way, also using the historic malt floor. It matured in bourbon and virgin oak casks. Bottled at 47,8%.

BenRiach Peated Cask Strength - Batch 1

In 2016 Speyside Distillery BenRiach released the first batch in their Peated Cask Strength series. So, peated in contrast to their usual single malt whisky. And at cask strength (here 56%). The malt matured in small (quarter) and Oloroso sherry casks.

Benrinnes 2009 James Eadie

James Eadie often finds unusual casks for finishing single malt whisky. For example, this Benrinnes matured for 28 months of its 15 years in a 1st-fill Bual Madeira cask. There are notes like honey, figs, raisins, strawberries, walnuts and baklava. 54.5%

Benrinnes 2011 Caskshare

Almost all editions of Benrinnes single malt whisky come from independent bottlers. This is a good example. For this Caskshare bottling, the Speysider matured for 12 years in an Oloroso sherry cask before it was bottled at 55.7% cask strength.

Benrinnes 2012 Ultimate -1st Fill Bourbon Hogsheads

This Benrinnes single malt whisky matured in three first-fill bourbon casks. After 10 years it was released by Van Wees under the 'The Ultimate' label, known for its affordable bottlings. An excellent option to get to know this Speysider! Bottled at 46%.

Benrinnes Madeira Finish Murray McDavid

This single malt whisky from Speyside distillery Benrinnes appeared in Murray McDavid's Cask Craft series. Anyone who knows the bottler a little will not be surprised that the whisky is finished in a select cask: a Justino's Madeira barrique. (44.5%)

Benromach 10-year-old

A Benromach bottling in an in 2020 updated design. This is the standard 10 year old single malt whisky from this small Speyside distillery. A malt with a subtle hint of smoke, notes of forest fruits and creamy malt and sherry influences. Bottled at 43%.

Benromach 15-year-old

Aged in bourbon and sherry casks, this 15-year-old Benromach has a beautifully balanced palette of sherry flavors with vanilla, orange and ginger, with subtle chamomile and menthol notes in between. Bottled at 43%. With newly designed label.

Benromach 16-year-old Cadenhead's

This bottle dates back to the time when 'single malt' was called 'pure malt', and when Cadenhead still bottled in dumpy bottles. The bottle contains a 16-year-old Benromach single malt whisky, at the time intended for the Italian market. (45.7%, 75cl)

Benromach 2000 - Peat Smoke

Distillery Benromach usually releases unpeated single malt whisky, but sometimes a smoky variant appears, such as this Peat Smoke from 2007. It matured for 7 years in fresh bourbon casks, resulting in a nice combination of fruity and smoky notes. (46%)

Benromach 2012 Contrasts: Kiln Dried Oak

In the Contrasts series, Benromach has released two bottlings of their virgin oak matured single malt whisky. This bottling matured for 10 years in kiln-dried virgin oak casks: creamy, tropical fruit, lime, apple, sweet barley, menthol, peat smoke. (46%)

Benromach 2013 - Virgin American Oak

Just as bourbon matures in virgin American oak, so did this Benromach single malt whisky in the Contrasts bottling series. The Speyside malt matured in this oak for 10 years, resulting in a very pleasantly drinkable dram. (46%)

Benromach 2013 Cask Strength Batch 01

This is a bottle of batch #1 of Benromach 2013 single malt whisky in the Cask Strength series. The Speysider matured for about 10 years in sherry and bourbon casks. A full dram with characteristic notes of stewed fruit, citrus and a hint of smoke (59.7%)
